here's my attempt to fit in around here.
i whipped up a couple outfits featuring a Tool t-shirt design. one outfit for adult males and one for teen males. both files also come with a little tattoo skin tone for male and female teens and adults.
i uploaded the rar files to my own webspace totry and help things run a little faster around here.

Can you walk us through how you made the tattoos look so realistic?

the tattoos...
first i went hunting for tattoo designs and sketches with google's image search. (probably not a good idea to do that with kids or parents around. sometimes ya find some really freaky stuff.) then i took the ones i liked, copied and pasted them as new layers over the skin textures and resized them in photoshop to fit over the area of the body i wanted them on. once they were in place and sized correctly i set the tattoo layers to "multiply". worked like a charm since most tattoo designs are black and white. multiply makes only the dark areas of a layer show up. i also tweaked the level of transparency a little bit since real black ink tattoos are never totally black.
honestly, making the teen shirt was a lot harder than the tattoos.

and for the ladies.
a t-shirt for teen girls and women who like having to research to decifer the meaning of song lyrics.
the shirt's the same for both teens and adults.
the adult file also comes with the following:
pink hair in case you're the one player that doesn't have pink hair yet.
wierd dotted manson-ish eyebrows for the goth kids.
pale skin tone with black nailpolish. (fingers and toes)
teen girl's shirt
woman's shirt

Thanks boss.
I tired once, but erasing everything but the tattoo got tedious.

Thanks boss.
I tired once, but erasing everything but the tattoo got tedious.
the way i did it involved no erasing at all.
since the tatoo designs were black on a white background, all i had to do was set the layer to "multiply". that made all the white space invisible.
i did a similar thing with the t-shirts, except i had to paint over the original designs on the existing shirts along with a lot of smudging and blending to maintain the wrinkles and curves. with the t-shirt designs i swiped from the internet, i resized and set the layer to "lighten". since the designs were bright colors on a black background (i used actual black t-shirt designs), only the design showed.
