This may have already been answered somewhere, but if so, I cant find it. Anyway here it is ..

How can i get rid of the mannequin's default clothes?

I'm making some adult skins, and the process I'm using now is very slow. Without being able to view the work, because of the clothes the mannequin is wearing, I have to export the skin to the game, go to create a sim and view it there, try to visualize the changes needed, delete the skin, open the project and work some more, then do it over and over till its right.

Can I get rid of the default mannequin's clothes?
Have I missed something in bodyshop?
Is there a better work around?

Thanks in advance for any help with this. There are a lot of files to edit to make just one skin package, and a little help will make a lot of difference here.

If you use Body Shop, when you export the clothes, do not close the program. Leave it where it is. While you edit the bmp or alpha, you can check your progress by clicking the refresh button in Body Shop.

Thanks for the reply tickherder .. but making clothes is not the problem .. it's the skins .. the changes im making are under the clothes to make nudes, and the mannequin always have the clothes on even when i use the refresh button.

Bodyshop isn't very complicated.. I just cant get them to take their clothes off so i can see if i put everything in the right place or not.

Sorry.
Maybe if you used a nude model to base it on....
I'm not sure. I haven't bothered to try the nudes because I think there are already some really good ones out there.

You're right tickherder, there are a lot of really good one already made. If you can believe it, there's some even better than mine LOL.

The tip on using models for a base is a good idea. Thanks :) That would at least speed up the start of a project, getting everything laid out.

I've near compleated three sets, a shaved set, one that works with a black or brown head, and one that works with a red or brown head. I want to make a set for blondes, but nothing i've done looks right yet. too light, too dark, too fake, you name it. unless i can find a way to see my finished work quicker, i may never get it right.

Froggy you could try this: Make a new project out of a set of undies which uses a nude mesh. Then make the alpha completely transparent. You will only have to change the project for male, female, and elderly female those are the only 3 different mappings.

YES!! That"s it snazza . . . Just make the skin files as if they were clothes. Then when everything looks right, start a new skin project, copy and paste from the clothes projects . . Whala instant skins.

Thanks bundles snazza - sometimes i cant see the trees for the forest.

I do recall seeing someone that made a set of invisible undies for the mannequins in bodyshop to make skintone creation easier. I can't remember who or where as I used to have it till I had to reinstall and deleted all my old files. But in any case I know there is a way to to SimPE a nude undie outfit to be the default undie mannequin display. Any tips as to how this is done I would appreciate, or even a link to an invisible undie mannequin thingy for bodyshop :)
