Downloaded lots not avalable

I'm really sorry if I missed this I searched, tried live chat and read all the maxi help books I own and I've got nothing.

I've downloaded a couple of lots from this site using Q-Xpress installer into my Downloads folder as I did with other content which I have found in my game. However no matter what I do I'm unable to find the lots.

Perhaps this is me being stupid and missing where the lots should be (I'm looking in my lots bin) but I don't have a clue.

Um what for?

The teleports folder is empty.

Perhaps I wasn't clear sorry. I know my lots are in the downloads folder it's in game I'm experiencing the problems. I don't know where they are to place them.

I've often had this problem with installing lots, that they don't show up in game. First check the inhabited lots bin- in case you installed an occupied lot. Otherwise, you'll probably find that the segment didn't load properly, and that you have a bunch of empty files in your downloads. Try installing the lot with the clean installer, just select the lot segment and not the custom content (you probably have that in there from the last time) and you should find it installs.

I've had the same problems with houses I've downloaded not showing up once the game starts. I've used clean installer to place the houses in the game and have loaded them with the custom content and then gone thru once again and downloaded just the lot. I always get a message that says that the file is already there. Unfortunately once in the game the houses don't show. Anyone have a suggestion as to what I am doing wrong? (the houses I am downloading are not habited)

Remove them from the lot bin and reinstall the lot segment.

My lots do not show up in the game either, therefore they are not in the lot bin. I used the clean installer & also tried manually clicking the file+install. It always says the lot was installed successfully. I've tried 2 diff lots -they just do not show up in the lot bin! HELP! ANYBODY!

Did they come with custom content? If so, try installing the lot segment seperately.

Hey me too - I couldn't find my lots in game and I used Q-Xpress installer as well.

But I have them NOW!!!!

This is what I did , went to the Q-Xpress downloads folder - program files - mothesims2.com - Q-Xpress - downloads. double click on the file to open .rar and the files are sitting in there ready to be installed, double click to install content and they are all in my game!

Hey! Thanks! I got ONE of the 2 lots to show up (but not the other). I installed the lot segment only, and also Q-Xpress-ed. not sure which worked. I did notice something wierd after doing that though - in my downloads folder are a bunch of files like this:
![CDATA[floor_8f10360d.package]] and ALSO many duplicates except that one of the dupes has "_001.package" at the end of it??? Maybe these are causing my game crashes?

Oh -forgot to mention -I LOVE ModTheSims2 SOOO MUCH!! WHAT...did Maxis really think that we could possibly play the game (for long) without you guys? You're the real reason why I'm so addicted to this game! Thanks to all of you here!
