When I try to run Body Shop it takes awhile to load and I can't figure out why.
It actually takes Body Shop a lot longer to load then the Sims 2 game itself. I don't know a lot about computers and so I was wondering if it could be my video card or my processor? From reading through the posts here I was able to find my system info but I don't really understand what it means. So I was hoping maybe someone could help me figure out why my game and Body Shop is running so slow? Here is some of my computer's info:
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+,MMX 3D Now ~2.2GHz
Memory:1022MB RAM
Device Name: Radeon X700 Pro
Approx. Total Memory: 256.0MB

If anybody could help me I would really appreciate it!

My bodyshop also takes an age to load... I have heard many complain of this, but I don't know of a solution. Have you tried defragmenting your computer hard disc, and also performing a disc clean up?

Yes I have tried defragmenting my computer but that doesn't seem to help. Is it possible that all the stuff I have downloaded is slowing it down? I don't have any objects in my game right now but I do have lots of clothes,make-up,hair, and skins. Although I have tried deleting stuff I don't use; it still doesn't seem to make a difference. Do you know if there is there anything else I can try to speed it up?

Not that I know of- I did a clean install when I gave my computer a facelift, and I had no custom content- it still took an age to load, whereas the game loaded very quickly. I hope someone contradicts me, it would be nice to know how to speed this up!
