Hi there
has anyone seen any mods that allow walls to be sloped on angles ?
I have previously used Numenor's wall windows, but was just wondering if there are other options out there.

check out Numenors profile, he has an upload called "unlevel walls" which are the closest you'll find to what you're looking for, and they're great for building with!

Hello Duds,
If you're looking for a general way to make warped wall to fill a gap without any cheat, then try Mikeinside's Easy Wall
http://mikeinside.modthesims2.com/hacks/walls.html
It's just a small and safe change in the wall.txt file.
This ittle modding is very safe that warped walls you make out of this will remain walls even in other people's games without such modification...
Numenor has a repository wall mod, this mod adds extra walls into the games. The pay-back for an extra wall is that walls made out of these extra walls SHALL be replaced by black fences in a game copy without this mod. Do that unless such replacement is wanted.
That means people downloading lots built with these extra walls will need the same mod to view the lot properly, or Maxis wall-replacement -- the black iron fence will take the place of these extra walls.
I just wanna ensure you understand the goods and bads before you try.

If you want invisible wall, may get the invisible recolours of Numenor's wall-windows. If you want an extra invisible wall, get his mod instead. The same pay-back applies to the latter.
If you just want prison walls, there're already some wall-window recolours serving for that purposes. Use the mod only when you want an extra prison wall. The same pay-back be for the mod.
After all, it's all up to you to decide, and that's your own responsibility.

the problem i found with Mikes easy wall hack is that you couldn't "turn it off" and I found it quite difficult to build with, least with Numenors Unlevel walls you can choose when to use 'em.

Thanks for the replies,
I think I need to clarify my initial post...
I'm happy with getting walls that can go up and down on uneven terrain etc.
What I actually meant was slanted walls, like Numenor's slanted wall windows, in that you have the base of the wall placed along (say x) line of the grid and the top of the wall is actually the next line over on the grid (x+1) on the above level.
This is more for inward slanted walls that are visible, as floor tiles that have been slanted inwards tend not to be displayed. (that is a wider level above and a narrower level below with a nice visible slant inwards to the lower level).
Thanks Niol for the info on Numenor's walls, I use the unleveled one quite a bit, and didn't think about including it in listing files associated with my uploaded lots.

My work-around for Mikeinside's easy wall or alike is to save a copy of the original wall.txt in a compressed format and save another copy of the modified wall.txt in a compressed format. Before I start the game, I know which one I want to use for that session. Also, I've made a shortcut on the desktop to that directory, so I reach there very easily.
By switching them thru decompression of the compressed back-up to over-write the one in the directory, I can have more options from the start. In fact, I've more than 2 modified wall.txt coz I simply use different settings for different causes. But, be aware that some changes are for experimental usages, and that means those certain settings can mess up lots built with them.
To reduce the game loading time, to know what to use before the game start can help reduce the game loading time. I've noticed a game reload is much faster than the first loading time, probably some of data are still in the memories.
I personally choose the wall.txt switcing. At least, I haven't to worry any game changes in the wall.txt by Maxis at this point in the future though seemingly unlikely.
Nevertheless, I'm still hoping for a complementary mod to Numenor's mod that can convert the extra walls into the normal default walls when without the definitions of the extra walls.
I guess, one of the goals of the wall-window's slanted set is to do this visual trick that cannot be yet made by modding. Just get some opaque recolours for the wall-looking effects. The tiles are bottomless actually while its side is non-recolourable and stuck in its ugly colour. That's the set-up Maxis made, may ask them why... It may take Maxis to implement those algorithms into the game engine to have those types of slanted default walls you're asking for.

Sorry, I think I thought into a dead end again...
If one wants a slanted wall so much, one can tries to find or make one out of fence clones. But, the bad is that such wall will behave like a fence in the base game or UNI.
Or, try to extract the game wall and modify it (the mesh or its placement in-game) as an additional custom object wall.
