Problem with Scoping Room - NOT GENDER PREF.

Hi :D

Well, I was playing along with my sims, and I took them to a nightclub. She already has a male gender prefrence, and I tried to get her to scope the room. Whenever I clicked myself, I couldn't scope. It wouldn't let me press my sim. It would say 'This is the active sim'. Sometimes it DOES let me select my sim, but only to meditate or change topics. So I boolProp'd a random guy who was another sim of mine's boyfriend, and made him selectable. He couldn't scope, either. Help? :(

Oh, and I read through the Nightlife FAQ on here, about the carpool. Even though I OWN (Yes, OWN) a car, the carpool still comes. Is that a glitch too, or am I just missing something? o_O

Often problems with certain options not coming up is due to General Hack-related Weirdness. Try cutting and pasting your whole Downloads folder to your desktop, running the game again, and seeing if they can scope - don't save, just test. If they can scope with no custom content in the game, that means you've got something in your Downloads folder causing a problem, and you can sort through it based on the guide to finding problem files in the Game Help FAQs under Downloads.

Do you have any other sims in the house that don't own a car? I'm pretty sure it should stop if all sims in the house own a car... Again, testing by removing downloads could help that, too.

If you have a car you can set a owner for that car (with one of the options when you click on the car). If you have done that the carpool doesn't arrive anymore for THAT sim, the carpool will still arrive for all other sims... Or at least that's how it is in my game...

EDIT: Wow, thanks :D It's working fine now, just had to get rid of a hack. Too bad though, it was my favorite one :( Oh well. Thanks a lot!
