I have no sims. Literally, they're not just invisible, they don't exist. Not in body shop not in lots, no where. Before, a very kind and intellegent person told me to cut and paste my sims 2 folder to desktop and thus create a new sims 2 folder, which worked well. Now I cut and paste and it doesn't create a new folder. Plus, it was really a pain in the rear to have to redownload all my custom content. Can any more kind, intellegent people please help me?

Uhm, when you cut and paste your sims 2 folder to your desktop, the folders inside it, like 'downloads' and 'saved sims' should be there.... so you could copy your stuff from it back in.
BUT frankly, what you're describing sounds like you either need to reinstall your game, or that you have some bad content in your downloads/saved sims.
So if moving the directory doesn't fix your game, you need to reinstall. Then you can put your downloads back a bit at a time (look in the game help section for more help with that) and keep testing your game to make sure it's all working.
PS - I doubt I'm more kind or intelligent than whomever gave you the advice the first time.

you're a pretty close second to the last person. I feared I may have had to uninstall my game. What a pain this shall be. But, Thanks!
