Okay so I have the Sims 2 (no expansion packs), and I just downloaded a bunch of clothes, genetics, make-up and skin tones to my game. I unzipped them, they became packaging files, and saved them in C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\Downloads
And they didn't work. I can't see them anywhere. It's as though they don't exist.
I've read every tutorial/thread/whatever on this subject and i have honestly tried everything. I downloaded a patch. I turned on that custom thing enabling thingy (i forget what its called exactly) and restarted the game, i went through the step-by-steps and i'd done all of that stuff. I've checked that i don't have any files that aren't packaging files in the Downloads folder. I've got all the meshes.
I can't even click on the little asterix thing for custom content because according to the game, there is none!
PLEASE HELP ME. I AM LITERALLY GOING INSANE.
