I started creating custom objects just a few days ago, and so this is my first time posting. (I'm very sorry if this question has been addressed already, but I've been unable to find an answer). I edited the mesh of one of the chairs already in the game, (it was the "Banquet Chair"), to give it little wings on it's back. The chair itself turned out well and there are no problems with it that I am aware of.

My problem, however, is that I created 2 recolors for it as well, (one black and one white). I used the Object Workshop in SimPE, opened my custom chair and selected recolor. I replaced the image files with the black and white versions and saved the recolor package files. When I loaded Sims 2, however, there were no recolors to be found for my poor little winged chair. Infact, the recolors had showed up for the original "Banquet Chair" instead. I'm sure I loaded the right file to recolor, so I'm at a loss as to why it would recolor the original chair instead.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you didn't update the MMATs properly with the new GUID. You can fix this manually by opening the MMAT, clicking on the line called objectGUID and replacing the GUID in the value field with your new GUID, then commiting and saving the package. Then you need to repeat this for the recolor packages, also, or create completely new recolors.

Ohh, I see. That was definately the problem. My recolors are working wonderfully now! Thank you very much for the help!
