Big sim on campus

i just don't quite understand my sims. some of them have become big sim on campus and some of the don't. even if they have many best friends...like, dozens of best frineds.they haven't become big sims.i mean, how to get them become popular?some just have a dozen, but they have become big sim on campus.i mean,wat gives..?

The Sim needs to have his influence bar maxed, and completely filled. The first time this happens as the Sim is a YA, they get the memory.
This means that if you send a teen with a completely filled influence bar to college, you must influence a Sim one time to drain it a little. Once it refills the memory should be created.

Just an addendum to Jordi's post:
Big Sim on campus cannot be met with "family" friends. You need 12 non-family member friends to get the memory.

this big sims on campus don't apply if they have graduated,right?i mean,after their senior year exam, they have few hours before leaving campus. they can't have this big sims, can they?

I don't believe so, as they have graduated and are not technically a student. I also have not seen the 'want' spin up after graduation. I haven't tested this. It might be possible. One could try and see if it works!

oh, you see... some of my sims, who haven't got their title and have graduated,i did everything like in this thread said, get more non family friends, use some of their influence and refill their influence until they're completely filled. but, they still don't get their big sims title.i did many times.i guess they can't get it once they have graduated.
