Ok, I have a couple of questions. I looked around for this stuff, but I didn't find anything. Of course, I may just have not seen it, but...

Anyway,my frist question is: Can I make object recolors on my Mac? And if so, how do I do that? A dummies guide sort of explanation would be nice, since I'm easily confused.

Second question: Is there a way to make custom walls and floors on a Mac? That's more important to me then the objects, actually, so I'd very much appriciate an answear to this question.

And a quick Bodyshop question while I'm at it: Is there a way to do semi-transparency in Bodyshop? I tried just using grays on the alpha, like I did on Sims 1, but it didn't appear to work.

That's all! Thanks in advance for any answears you give me, it means a lot.

There aren't any programs for modding available on the mac, including recoloring objects and creating walls and floors. Unless you have an intel mac and intsall windows.

For bodyshop I would suggest heading over to bodyshop help area, don't know anything about alpha's :D

The bodyshop questions doesn't really mater that much to me, I just thought I'd ask while I'm at it.

Is there any way to get around the facts that there aren't any programs? Or am I out of luck?

if you have a friend with the Sims, all the same expansion packs, and SimPE they can export the texture files and you can do the recoloring on your Mac. Then the friend needs to use SimPE again to import the new texture into the .package file for the recolor. Other than that, there's no way.

Well, thanks for telling me. It's good to know.

Well, you could ask Aspyr if they will port Homecrafter Pro, then at least we could do walls and floors. I for one would pay for it (even though it's free for Windows simmers) and so would a lot of other Mac simmers. That would be better than nothing.

You can also create clothing, makeup, skins, etc using Bodyshop, but you really should have Pets to do that. In Pets they fixed the way Bodyshop was mangling texture files on import and export, making your creations all blurry. Or you can make certain specific changes to your graphicsrules.sgr file for Bodyshop to fix the file mangling if you don't have Pets.

It's so annoying. No programs whatsoever. Talk about inconsiderate, eh?

Mac simmers can still build all kinds of lots, and do custom content in Bodyshop. They can do hair, makeup, accessories, and clothing. They just can't do object meshes, clones, object recolors, walls and floors.
