Game edition

Hello,
I have the sims2 and most of the expansions.
Until now I use the cd edition (of the sims 2, nightlife, university, open for business)except for pets which is the dvd edition.
It is possible the different edition of the pets, will cause game's crushing problems?

It should play just fine with the DVD edition. :) Why? Are you having problems playing Pets?

Oh yes..The game starts good and after about 20 min crushes and my pc's restarts.(I also get a blue screen before the restart but I don't have time to read it.I tried the "pause break" or "print screen" but nothing happens.)
Until now I have done everything that I found at the internet. I have updated all my drivers & removed all the downloads files.I took a look at the game's log files but I can't find anything helpful at the internet.

Well, it may be hardware/software related also. Does your system meet the requirements for Pets ?

If your computer meets or exceeds the specifications to run Pets, please backup you game files and methodically work your way through this tutorial:

Well..I have some good news.. thank you guys for the help but I had tried the help guide and had the same result. In the meantime I asked for help from ea support and they told me to do some things.
Firstly, my CPU is dual so I have to choose each time one CPU from the task manager.
Secondly, I updated the direct x (10) and last, I added 1 more gb memory.
I'm not sure which one is the solution because I don't have time now to do some tests.
When I'll have the solution to this mess I'll inform you asap.Anyway my game is perfect now!!
