Saved Sims Folder

Can someone explain something to me,why do i have to put Sims like(Self-Sims,Celeberatys and so on) in the saved sim folder?,why i ask is this last time i put Downloaded Sims in the Saved Sims Folder they did not show up in the game,before you ask they had Meshs there to it is driving me NUTS AND UP THE WALL

You can't put downloaded sims in the SavedSims folder, you have to put them in the downloads folder. The SavedSims folder is where the custom content you make in bodyshop is put when you import it into the game.
