strovod, if you look at standard maxis outfits, you will see that the skirts designs do get a bit stretched when they flare - and that most (not all but most) skirts are uvmapped as a rectangle. This is good for matching side seams, plaids, stripes an bands *around* the skirt, but does result in some usually minor stretching near the bottom edge.
Because you make your skirt design so extremely stretched at the outer edge - it is going to show a lot of horizontal stretch. You can go look at your uvmap and try and make it wider near the bottom - that part of the map should be below the hands I hope?
If this was the sundress, and you pulled the hem uvmap down towards the knees, you might be able to get some sideways space for the lower part of the skirt... Here's a graphic example - I grabbed the sundress, pulled down the hem some, and then moved the uv outward - note that I'm not just pulling the outer edges out, but trying to distribute the change evenly across the bottom. (this is just a crude graphics edit but enough to give the idea).
Even with the change in the uvmap - you might find that the lower part looks stretched, and is better off with a semi-solid design there instead of the flower detail. But the uvmap adjustment should improve it.
