Ok, so it’s been a while since I actually played the game and feeling a bit nostalgic I decided to start playing again.
Everything was going fine, I was in a lot with a family playing normally when next thing I know my camera suddenly won’t rotate at all. It will zoom in and out with no problem yet it won’t rotate when using my mouse wheel and if I use my keyboard it gets stuck on rotation and won’t stop so I end up with it continuously spinning.
It was working fine at first until about ten minuets into game play. I only got my Sim to pull some weeds……

I removed all custom content, removed user files, ran the Game help wizard, searched forums and found no solution, still not working.
In the end I reinstalled the game, base game, all 5 EP’s and 5 stuff packs.
Still not working, I changed my keyboard and mouse so it defiantly isn’t that.
I’m at a loss; can anyone give any help or suggestions to a very frustrated girl please?
Thank's for your time.

Just one really simple idea:

Have you got your mouse driver correctly installed, working and configured? Maybe you have disabled the clicking with the mouse wheel...
I'm not a real expert, but is it possible that the keyboard causes conflicts with a damaged mouse driver?

You changed mice and it's still happening? I had this problem off and on for awhile myself and it turned out to be a combination of two things. 1) the mouse wasn't configured properly. You have to tell it how to use the middle wheelie thing. And 2) it was a cordless mouse that went through batteries 10x faster than the box said it would. I now use a properly configured usb mouse.

If neither of those I hope someone else comes along with a better idea. :)

JLonier, that was a great help, thanks.
As it turnes out it was the battries in my cordless mouse....
That really didn't cross my mind. Thank you.
