Installer wont even start.... please help!

I installed The Sims 2 on my sisters and moms computer yesterday, then I tried to install it on mine. It didn't work. The installer wont pop up, nor will the autorun, even if i manually click on it myself. It gives me an I/O error if i try to rip the cd, and it wont install from my hard drive (I copied it from the cd to hard drive). Any ideas?

Well, it sounds like the disk is okay since you installed it on two other computers - however, you only have a license to play it on one computer at a time...

You could try testing another game on your computer, seeing if you can get it to install as it sounds an awful lot like there might be a problem with your CD-ROM drive reading the CD...

And if you'd like to have a copy on everyone's computer, you need a copy for each of you.

k, i tryed jade empire, it read it, i formatted my computer and it installed.
