Maxis Clothing GUIDS

Something that's bothering a lot of us custom career-makers. Does anyone know where we can find a list of Maxis clothing GUIDS to use as uniforms for our custom careers? It's driving us all nuts.

We've tried using the boolprop then shift+n trick in CAS, but there are at least four different codes that follow the correct pattern for a GUID with none of them being labelled as such.

If anyone knows of a list or chart, knows of a link to a page with such stuff, or even has a vague idea for us to follow up on, it would be greatly appreciated.

You will find these in the BCON "Outfit GUIDs" (sometimes also: "Outfit GUID") of each career, as listed below. Never mind some german words; I needed the german names for the career rewards :) Werewolf Outfits etc. are stored in Group 0x7FD46CD0 (global BCONs, BHAVs, etc.). If you copy this list to a text file, best use fixed font like Courier or something.

(Edit) Forgot to mention: There are always 2 entries for each of the 3 teen/elder job levels and for each of the 10 adult job levels, splitted in GUID1 + GUID2 (or vice versa; can't remember exactly) of that specific outfit.

Thanks for trying, but I think maybe I didn't explain it clearly. We've found links for the uniforms, but want GUIDs for just the normal clothes - the stuff the sims wear when not at work.

Actually that's a very good list to have handy, so I'm gonna link back here anyway.

Now I get you! *laughs* The GUID for the common clothes hide somewhere in the Sims<xx>.package files in TSData\Res\3D. The moment the dialog for clothes is called, the program loads this file from *ALL* your installed EPs and builds the catalog. I think it's Sims02.package and Sims07.package; these ones hold the TXMT and TXTR data. Somewhere in these files is the GUID.

Most normal clothes don't come with GUIDs, you have to package them differently to make them career outfits (that way you can have different age-groups and gender options, amongst other things).

You can find the GUIDs for existing career outfits in SimPE's Object Workshop. They're under "Other" > "Outfit". Just clone the one you want then copy the GUID out of the package's OBJD resource.

Ah, so just find the clothes packages then treat them as custom for the purpose of the tute... I'd looked at it before and couldn't work it out, I'll try again. This means we're close.
