View Full Version : Can't seem to lower my package sizes for bedding?

I've been working on some new beddings to put up on MTS2, but for some reason I cannot seem to get the package sizes down. I've tried lowering the image quality of my bedding, but it doesn't seem to change anything. The thing that confuses me most is only one package is a reasonable size, while the rest of them sit at almost 3MB each and I've never had this problem before.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Oh, I'm also using SimPE's recolour wizard.

Any chance you could post it? Sometimes images just need to be big and there's not a lot that can be done, but we can't say with much certainty unless we can see them. :)

Would you like me to post the package or just the image?

If you really want to make it smaller you could export the Image 512x256 Texture then use the build DXT option to rebuild the textures. I did this with your bunnygoesboombedding09.package and lowered it from 2037 kb to only 173 kb.
I checked to make sure it still looks good in game and see pic. My video setting are 1024x768 and it still looks good to me.

What about compressing each resource? It takes its time, and the SimPE for FreeTime occasionally puts up error messages, but this also shrinks the package size remarkably. ( I didn't dl the bed's package and checked; just a suggestion.)
