I sent three Sims from my neighborhood to a custom campus, moved them into housing and played each lot @ 1/2 semester before quitting. Now, whenever I attempt to load the University subhood, my game crashes. The main neighborhood, shopping districts, and downtown are functioning normally.
I walked through the Game Problem FAQ (http://www.modthesims2.com/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Game_Problem) hoping the problem could be resolved without deleting the neighborhood. Clearing out all custom content and regenerating my cache files did not resolve the problem. I have no problems loading and re-loading custom universities attached to other neighborhoods on the same account, so I believe my user files are fine and the corruption is specific to this subhood in this neighborhood.
Which brings me to my questions:
1. I'm still interested in rescuing the campus (and the Sims exiled there). Are there any tools that might help me to identify the source of this corruption and repair it?
2. If not, is it safe to assume that the corruption is localized to the Uni hood, so I can delete that one subhood and continue playing the base hood? Or should I scrap the whole Neighborhood?
I don't think my specs are relevant here, but because you ask:
==System==
* Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2
* Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T8300 @ 2.40GHz (2 CPUs)
* Memory: 3070MB RAM
* Page File: 578MB used, 4376MB available
* DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
==Display==

* Manufacturer:NVIDIA
* Chip Type:Quadro NVS 140M
* Approx. Total Memory: 512.0 MB
* Main Driver: nv4_disp.dll
* Version: 6.14.0011.5685 (English)
==Sound==
* Name: SoundMAX HD Audio
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
