How do one get sims in BS into the game... Iv read everywhere, the manuals (primas guide and others), iv gone into the pits of... sim modding such as this site looking around, and they never mention how to get the sims ingame, they talk about it but not how. Iv made a sim, many sims since last month, but havent figured how to get them ingame.
I open BS, 'build sims', 'clone sim', 'complete sim', i go ingame and dont know how its suppose to be accessed, i open 'create a family/create a sim', 'choose existing sim', i look for the sim i made but i cant find it :/, the sims are fixed to 24 only. I dont understand the sim template or how the customization of The Sims 2 works. Making parts seems simple and work but i cant get any costume sim working unless i make one from within the game's 'creat a family'. Whats the point of BS 'build a sim' if you cant get it imgame, isnt it suppose to be a template, well i cant find it in the 'create a family'. Also i tried packaging the sim i made and putting it in the my documents eagames sims 2 download folder but still i dont know if it was imported properly and i just cant find it.

It should be in the CAS, unless you make a university sim (they'll be in the University CAS).

Hmm i dont see it in CAS if you mean Create a Sim, like i said its fixed to the 24 default sims that came with the game and theres no button to import or show the sim i created. Can someone write down the steps, click what button and what screen to go through step by step and what application i should be in... Im feeling really down by this and need the extreme assistance.
Edit: Fixed everything is working.

I have the same problem :(( and it's annoying because in the CAS you don't have all the options you have in BS,i'm reffering at sims creating(ex.bigger face). So i've tried everything but they don't show up.I'm trying to make a neighborhood with all my relatives and ALL my friends(real) ,so i have to make them look as much is possible as the real ones. So i need all the possible options which i have ONLY on BS.But how to make them appear in the game? In the CAS? I've tried even to install them as package,or to copy them in the saved sims folder but nothing works.I'm using my last expansion pack BS(seasons).I have Nightlife,Open for Business,Pets and Seasons ,do i have to patch Pets ? Because i've seen there is a patch for BS Pets.I really don't have any idea...And i've seen lot of people having the same BS problem.

You can't make all the Body Shop options show up in Create-a-Sim. Some of the sliders are exclusive to Body Shop and have always been that way, and will always be that way. It's really best to make sims in Body Shop anyway - they hold still, there's less distortion of the faces due to them smiling and moving their lips and such in animation, etc. - pretty much everyone who works on sims that look like real people do it in Body Shop to start, and then once you get it nearly done, go in-game and tweak a little here and there if you need a lighter or darker lipstick or whatever.

If you have gone step by step Families- Create New Family- Create a Sim- Choose Existing Sim (Next to Randomize and looks like six little men in 2 rows of 3) and none of the sims you created in BodyShop show up, it sounds like the the sims you created didn't save properly. Check your SavedSims folder (Usually My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\SavedSims) to see if the sims you saved show up there. (They will look like packages with random numbers and letters) If they're there, then I'm not sure what's wrong... <.>
If nothing else seems to be working, you can write The EA Games people and get them to help you. I've had to write them several times and they are usually pretty fast at getting back to me and their advice is pretty helpful. You need an account with them I think, but if you registered your Sims2 game then you already have one. Just go to this site and click "Contact Us"
https://easims.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/easims.cfg/php/enduser/home.php?p_sid=6fUCLSlj&p_accessibility=0
All this you probably already knew, but I figured someone reading might not know.
Hope this helps someone. Good luck with solving that problem.

Well i'm not quite a noob,i know the steps and what is working for others is not working for me,i'm thinking maybe there a software incompatibility.Maybe one of my programs is incompatible with Body Shop. But you've helped me -Last_Wind_Master-,i do have an account on Ea Games, but never thought contacting them. :P ^_^
-Hysterical Paroxism-,you've just repeated what i've said using some other words,so...i'm guessing you weren't talking to me...
-fleshsniper1 - fixed? How? Why didn't you tell us how you did it? Maybe other people want to know also, maybe it's helpful...

I found some kind of solution: i've downloaded Body Shop(an older version :() and installed it.Any sim i create with this one appears in CAS so it's great! I can't use any custom content tho' and it has only one outfit, one hairstyle,one...and so on.But i can make the face figure and apply the rest in CAS.It's ok for me,at least for now...
