Where to install premade Sims

Do you install premade Sims you've downloaded to the Downloads folder or another one? I'm getting a bit confused about where to install what, I know most(except lots) go into the download folder but this one makes me think maybe they need to be put in the SavedSims or Teleport folder.

Just let Clean Installer install stuff where it wants to unless you have a specific reason to do otherwise. Its default locations are the right ones.

I'm having quite a bit of trouble trying to install a sim that I downloaded.
I'm attempting to use these instructions http://sims2pack.modthesims2.com/index.php?page=4#3
But it's not making too much sense. I think it's because I created a folder for everything I download in 'my documents'. I got as far as double clicking the sims 2 clean installer icon on the desktop...
Help? :cry:
