Ok I dont want to post a question asking for help on a specific item, but I want to know the cause of something.
Numenor I know, will know this answer because he created the CEP and has dealt with this crap a million times.
Q:
What causes a maxis made object to suddenly loose its recolors and become non-recolorable?

A base game override which changes something in the scenegraph incorrectly. If it was an object only recolourable because of the CEP, it might also be a damaged or out of date CEP file. :)

So what do you suggest would be the fix. The problem object is the set of red OFB full wall windows of the international style. They have like 5 diffent colors, but the basic is red. For some reason, with no changes, they are non not designable nor even show that they can be or have any colors.
I hate it because I use those windows all the time, but I only use the white color because red is ugly as hell. lol
How do you fix the problem?
ALSO: I have the latests CEP I believe. Do I need to reinstall it?

You can try reinstalling the CEP, but if the object has Maxis recolours that probably won't fix anything. Then you need to find the bad piece of CC and remove it:

Bad piece of custom content would have to be a window right? Or could it be any object?

PROBLEM FIXED!
I just reinstalled the CEP because I installed it before I got Apartment Life. I saw that there was a package and/ option in the install that mentioned OFB windows and AL fix.
I opened the package after reinstalling, and it was a fix for those very windows. YAY!
Ugh I hate problems...
Thanks Echo and thanks Numenor for the CEP that fixes all the maxis fk ups. ;)
