Problem with SimPE

I wasn't sure where else to post this, so I hope I'm in the right category...

I recently downloaded SimPE so I could start learning to create objects and the tutorial (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=95015) that I was following told me to open Photo Studio, but Photo Studio was grayed out. Therefore I went back to the SimPE (http://sims.ambertation.de/en/download/realdownload/) website and downloaded Photo Studio templates. But when I restarted SimPE, Photo Studio was still grayed out. Then I tried to download the patch for AL and M&G(I own AL). Photo Studio was still grayed out. The last thing I tried was to download the latest version of CEP and that hasn't helped either.
I have tried googling for the answer to my problem and have come up empty handed. If anyone knows something I can try to get Photo Studio working, I would really appreciate any suggestions. :help:

Firstly you don't need the M&G patch as you don't own M&G! you only need the AL patch. :)

I also had the same problem as you,what you need to do is Uninstall SimPE then reinstall it with the studio templates and the NvidiaDDS utilities.

But you must make sure that you remove ALL the leftover files SimPE leaves behind,these are usually Cache and Dat files
Then you can go ahead and reinstall SimPE.

It worked for me,Good luck :)
