View Full Version : Textures not in the package?

Hi all, I'm having a blinkin' hard time at the moment trying to clone several different types of object for one of my sets. For some reason, the textures for them aren't included in the textures section of the package! I've heard of EA using texture 'referencing' for some objects, so I guess that's what's happening here.
Is there a way to add a new texture that will overwrite the out-of-package referenced texture?

Thanks guys, my set's almost done, just those last few objects being naughty! :-)

Ok, just to update, I did some research and spent a few hundred years going through other package files, and found that a *lot* of them reference other textures. I still have absolutely no idea how to add a new texture and overwrite this referencing, but I've managed to do the project by simply cloning a different object which *does* have textures.
So um, yeah. That's all :) x

There is a list of the objects which are good to clone at the top of this forum ;)

The CEP documentation contains an excel spreadsheet with all objects in all games, and it lists whether it is a slave to another Maxis object.
