tips and tricks on realistic eye creation?

I am wandering if enyone knows eny tips and tricks i can try to make some realistic eyes that also look shiny. I use Adobe Photoshop and have an O.K understanding on most of the tools but am always looking for new tips and tricks. If somone can help i would be verry greatfull.
