"Hello to all of you Simvillers! I am, Kristofer Taylor, Simville High: Class of 2001 and I'd like to personally invite all of you back. I know there's definitely many memories to be shared…after 50 years away…how can there not be? We all have our own stories to boast…some good…others, probably not so much. We have been through and seen it all in our lives at this point…some have lead fruitful, satisfying lives. Lives full of family, friends, joy and struggles. It is those times that we are here to celebrate and share with those who were such a big part of our early years. It would be fabulous to see all of you there to share in such a grand affair and it’s with great joy that I welcome you back…to the 50 year class reunion of the Simville High Class of 2001."

I know some of you were here at our former reunions, and others of you weren’t able to join us up until now, but it’s time to celebrate each other and show everyone what you’re about. To shake things up a bit, look at this as an opportunity to show all of those "bullies" or "haters" just how hot you've become! If you were known as the class clown, the geek, the nerd, the slob, or just want to show everyone how much you've changed, please join us! Miss out on being named homecoming or prom royalty? Here’s your second chance! Maybe you were the homecoming queen or the guy every girl was hoping to be asked to prom by…we'd love to see if you still have what it takes! That's right, there's room for the honeys and the hunks! Perhaps you were the “little orphan Annie" that everyone teased because your family couldn’t afford to buy you all those name brand things, but you’ve made a name for yourself as an executive in a prestigious law firm and have more money than you know what to do with. Whatever your tale, we want you to share it here with us!

In other words…

From Kristofer's explanation, it may be a little difficult to understand exactly what's planned to happen here, and I want all those who want to join or who are thinking about joining, to know exactly what will be required beforehand. This cycle will be a bit different than the very first cycle, however, as I have eliminated the "beauty contest" portion. This cycle will be more like the 2nd cycle and feature more scrapbooking type projects, as well as a few other hopefully fun tasks to test your creativity and originality. Judging this cycle, just as last cycle will vary depending on the task. PHOTOSHOPPING WILL BE REQUIRED! You WILL be needing to know basic photoshopping skills such as cutting and copying/pasting. No need to worry too much about it, however, as you WILL NOT BE JUDGED BASED ON YOUR ABILITIES. The only portion of judging that may be affected will be overall quality and appearance. If you participated last cycle or watched, scoring will be very similar. A STRONG EMPHASIS is put on how well you portray and stick with the personality of your Sim (just as in the former cycles).

Timeline:
Applications “Introductions” and Round One: “Oh What a Night” May 27-June-4

Round Two: "I Do…Cherish You/ Rock-A-Bye-Baby (http://forums.sims2community.com/showpost.php?p=1194923&postcount=185)" June 5-11

Round Three: " Take This Job…And Love It.. (http://forums.sims2community.com/showpost.php?p=1201243&postcount=294)" June 12-19

Round Four:”Remember When… (http://forums.sims2community.com/showpost.php?p=1205309&postcount=340)" 20-27

*There will be NO eliminations for each of the rounds 1-3. I’ve had to crunch some things in together in order to accomplish everything I wanted into the allotted time. Generally, I have a week for applications and then begin the first round the second week. However, for this final cycle…applications and the first round are combined into the 1st week unless you are notified otherwise.

http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d85/BritskyB/SHCR%20Cycle%203/simoptions.jpg

Your Sim will be pictured as a teen (HS senior: ages 17-19), an adult (college grad-ish: ages 22-24+), and an elder ( you know….when they’ve gone through that change to gray? :P) You will be submitting pictures of your same sim at various times in their life, which can be tricky, but easily accomplished using several methods. Options include:

**Option A: Seeing as how most people generally start their Sims off in Bodyshop, you may create a teen version of your Sim first. After the teen is created, you can clone that same Sim in Bodyshop, and then make the clone an adult and then another clone as an elder. This will allow you to have all three Sims available to you should you need. If you do this, however, you must use the SAME SIM for for all three ages. If, when it comes time for the adult and elder portions, your Sims look nothing alike (this will be up to the judge’s discretion so be warned!) you may be eliminated. I want this to be a fun contest and enjoyable for all, but want it to be as fair as possible so am trying to be as detailed in laying it out as I can be. I know some Sims can be slightly distorted with age transitions, but sometimes that’s the fun in it!
No plastic surgery please, keep them as they are!

**Option B: Create your adult Sim and try to make them look like teens or elders by way of clothes, hair, make-up (or lack thereof). This route, though possible, might be a bit tricky to accomplish.
**Option C: If you are wanting to use an in-game born Sim, you can use them as a teen, then age them to an adult/young adult and elder or let them age naturally if they’re almost grown. Remember, you can also use SimPE to package an in-game born Sim and can then create the other ages from Bodyshop.

**However, how you choose to accomplish this is up to you. Just please, respect my wishes as the host and don’t alter your Sim between ages (including skintones- I know there's extra-wrinkly skintones out there) apart from the obvious hair/make-up/clothes.**

That being said….onto the important stuff!

http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d85/BritskyB/SHCR%20Cycle%203/rules.jpg

 All rounds will close at 10PM Central Time to allow for me to pm judges.
I have tried to grant enough time for each round to be completed. An hour or two extension may be possible, but please let me at least 12 hours in advance if you will be needing an extension. I understand and will take emergencies into consideration, but please, if you are planning to enter or are entering, PLAN ON STICKING WITH THE GIVEN SCHEDULE. It's tough to host a contest and try to keep things in order if you have multiple contestants who don't notify you and just don't turn in an entry. I want everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves, but please be considerate of the others participating. I am willing to give out tasks ahead of time if you are planning to be gone a particular week if you let me know ahead of time that you have something planned. I am willing to work with you, I just ask that you be courteous and work with me in return.

 The application/first round will showcase your Sim as they were seen in high school or by whatever "stereotype" they left high school known as. They may have been the nerd, the jock, the tomboy….the sky's the limit…..just think of what kinds of stereotypes or cliques you find in a high school and fit your Sim into one.

 Only one person may be the homecoming queen/king and prom queen/king. If you want one of those roles, they're first come-first served. Whatever you choose, you will need to stick with it to the end though, so pick one you can have fun with!

 All Sims must be your own work and creation. No using Sims from the contest sharing thread or ones you have downloaded anywhere else, even if you've tweaked 'em up. Your own creations only!
 Again, please, no plastic surgery from HS to adult!! Be honest and fair!

 You may enter up to two Sims (though, since many contests generally run a little heavy on the female side, if you are entering two Sims, at least one must be a male- think of it as an opportunity to step out of your comfort zone if you don’t generally model males ;) ) If you DO chose to enter two Sims, BOTH of them will be allowed to remain in the contest just as any other contestant until the final round. Only ONE of your Sims, however can win a section of the contest. If both of your Sims have the top score for their section (guy and girl) whoever has the lower score of the 2 will be dropped and the next highest for that section (guy or gal) will take their place as king/queen.

 You may enter Sims who were in the first cycle of the contest! Since this is the 50 year "reunion" of Kristofer's class, the original class is welcomed and encouraged to join. We'd love to see how you're doing!

 Photo-shopping will be required! While it will be required, it won’t be anything too challenging. Mainly, you will be resizing and cutting/pasting to combine more than one picture or other decorations together. You are strongly encouraged to use in-game backgrounds in your pictures, rather than cutting your Sim out and putting them on a background you've found online. (Judging will include your creativity in the picture as a whole, so feel free to include that lime-green sofa you have yet to have found a use for but downloaded because it looked cool. :P) Judges will also be looking for things such as pictures that look empty or how wonderfully you have created your "set" to make it look as though it's really happening.

 Give your Sims a definite personality!!! I can't stress this enough! Don’t forget, you want to make yourself remembered to your classmates! The more you can express your Sim's personality through answering confessionals, posing, backgrounds, clothes, etc, the better you will do! I will add as well, please think of the other applicants as your former class mates. For some of the confessionals/tasks, you may be asked about who you were most surprised to see or something of the sort. You can pick someone else to form a "storyline" with if you wish. For instance, maybe Jessica and Mary were best friends in high school and haven't seen each other since graduation. I want this to be a fun and interesting contest, not just an "I win, you lose" kind of thing, so be creative!

Feel free to share your Sims with each other and use them in your stories and pictures! Again, the more creative you can be in creating your Sim's life, the more successful you will be!

 Have fun! Enjoy the contest! It is my goal with this contest, (my third shot as a host :P) to have fun with everyone and hopefully give everyone who takes part, something to have fun with as well. If you have any questions, please send me a PM and I will do what I can to help you out. Feel free to send me even the minutest questions if you are unsure of something or can't think of any ideas for a particular task. I really DON'T bite, but I do want everyone to have fun. I know some of you are here for a star, but since there are 2 winners at the end, you won't qualify. At the same time, we are all here because this is something we enjoy. Don’t ruin it for others!

 Judging: Remember way back 50 years ago? The prom/homecoming king and queen days? Who will reign this time around? My plan is for there to be a similar type of thing here: one male and one female winners as the king and queen. Both the male and female sections will be judged separately by different judges so as to not overwhelm the judges. Judging criteria will vary for each round, depending on the task assigned and will be PMed to the judges at the close of each round. The emphasis over all is mainly your creativity, how well you express your character's personality, how well you execute the assigned tasks, be it in picture AND through story.

**If interested in judging for this cycle of SCR, please send me a PM with which section you would like to judge (if it matters). Requests posted in the thread will not be granted. I will need at least two other judges for each section and will fill in if necessary. Please note that if you are requesting to judge, that means you are aware of the timeline and when you will need to be available to give scores and are planning to be able to follow through with your request. Just as for the contestants, I understand things happen and come up, but please if you are judging and are going to be unable to judge for whatever reason, have the courtesy to let me know in advance when possible so I can make other arrangements. It stinks to sit and wait for a judge's scores and then just never hear back from them. I just ask that you be courteous and let me know if something comes up.

http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d85/BritskyB/SHCR%20Cycle%203/application.jpg

Name:

Family heritage/origin:
(German? English? Filipino? Native American?)
How long did you attend Simville? (Maybe you went to Simville kindergarten through senior year, or maybe you came as a junior in high school)

Current age:
(Being that most people graduate high school at the age of 17 or 18 and this is a 50 year class reunion, your Sim should be somewhere around the 66-69 age range)

In high school, I was known as…
(who were you in high school? Band nerd? Football star? Remind us who you were)

In the last five years, I’ve…
(Become a grandparent? Great-grandparent? Gone back to college? Retired?)

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was…
(prom? tripped and fell down the steps next to the lockers? had a baby?)

Please include the following pictures for your Application:
1 Full-color head shot as a teen (think school pictures)
1 Full-color head shot as an elder

*Optional*
I would like to compile a "class picture" so if you would like to be included, please also submit a 3/4 or full body shot on a plain background as well (Though please avoid background colors which are very prevalent on your Sim. IE: If your Sim has black hair or clothing, please avoid using black or really dark colors.) As I did in the last 2 cycles, all “optional” tasks will be awarded with extra points towards your scores..just like extra credit points in school. You can only benefit from doing the optional and will not be penalized if you choose not to participate in them.

http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d85/BritskyB/SHCR%20Cycle%203/round1.jpg

“Oh What a Night….”

How can you really have a reunion and get together with old classmates to talk about the "good ol' days" without pictures as proof? Some from parties, some from random acts of mischief, others just taken for fun. For this round, you will be creating a mini-movie collection (let me explain before you get too scared! :P) showcasing 3 of your favorite nights of high school…as well as one not-so-fun night.

[•] This round is pretty open to your creation. Think of what types of activities your Sim would have participated in in high school. Perhaps they were the class hottie and one of the best nights was prom night and being the talk of the town in that dress….with THAT HAIR! Or…maybe they were the guy that no girl ever talked to and one of their most memorable nights was when they actually got up the courage to ask Kathy out to a movie and she said yes! For the…not-so-fun night…maybe as captain of the football team you and some teammates were caught TP-ing the houses of your rivals and you got to spend the entire homecoming game on the bench. Be creative!

The tasks:
In calling these tasks “mini-movies” you will not actually be creating movies. You will only need to make movie covers. You will be making four of these and they needn’t be all that difficult. You will basically take a picture of whatever special night activity you are sharing and then create something resembling the case of a VHS or DVD movie front cover.

Requirements:
* You will need to have a title clearly displayed on your “case”.
* Your mini-movies will be set to a song, so include that on your cover as well. It can be either a real or made up song. I’m sure you’ve all seen those parody type songs. These are fine as well.
* When creating these, you may want to consider your font style, size, color, etc and how it fits with your Sim's personality/stereotypes. Your big, tough, macho guy probably wouldn't use big bubbly bright pink letters on their covers. Hmmm...or would they?
* The photo can be as simple or as exciting as you would like it. Feel free to photoshop away or make it as simple as you would like it and just have your classmate's face on it. It's fully your decision.
* Please observe the picture posting rules and guidelines for S2C and if your pictures are too big, feel free to post links to the actual pictures.
* Tell us why you chose the picture that you did for your mini-movie cover. What is happening in your picture? (Though it may be painfully obvious what is going on in your pictures, please…enlighten us anyhow!)

Confessional:

My favorite part of my high school years was...

Looking back, I realize how much I miss...

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be ... because...

Optional Task: Library Cards
**This task is optional and not required for a complete entry. You CAN however earn an additional five points to your score by completing it.**

Dig out those old library cards! It's time to check ‘em out! Create a library card for your Sim and hold it high for all to see!

The Guidelines:
• Really, there’s no stipulations for this as it’s meant mainly for fun and a couple easy points. Just use your imagination. Pretty much anything goes (even those icky stains from being spilled on).

**Remember, you don’t have to be a professional at “photoshopping” in order to complete these tasks successfully. You will be more so judged on your representation of your Sim, than how well you can get all of the pink edges out from around your Sim when you paste them into a picture. Though the neatness and attractiveness of your pages will account for a bit of your scores this round, I am looking for creativity, effort and your execution of the task. (If you don’t have a decent photoshopping program, Paint.net is a paint-type program which can be downloaded for free and is easy to use. It allows you a few more options than just the plain paint program but still works mostly the same.) If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Have fun!

Sounds fun. One question tough, I don't know anything about american classes, could you explain a bit? So that I can choose in what grade my sims arrived?

Nukeya
28th May 2008, 1:14 AM
No problem! Generally, you begin classes at the age of 5 or 6 and go to kindergarten. Elementary school is generally 1st - 5th grade (ages 5-11), middle-school or junior-high is grades 6-8 (ages 11-14) and then high-school would be grades 9-12 (ages 14-18). Those are just general grades and ages. I'm not going to be too particular on ages by number as long as your Sim LOOKS the part. Does that help?

Yes, you are making 4 of these and the pictures are to be of anything your Sim enjoyed doing in high school. Think of these "movies: as maybe those home movies your mom filmed of you and it's your task to create covers for them. Three of those are to be of good times...and one is to be of something you enjoyed doing...going wrong. The first three may be a prom picture, a cheerleading picture, a chess tournament, etc. You take a picture of your sim doing that as a teen. The fourth one might be that you were a prankster and on one occassion....you got caught in the act. Then you need to add a "title" to the case so you can remember what it was of. The last thing that you have to have is a song to set the "movie" to. That can be an actual song or one made up, but should fit in with whatever your movie is of. Clear as mud? :P

Can I ask one more question?

I assume that when our contestant is at their current age (56-60), it's at the present time. Will the shots taken while they were in high school need to reflect the time period that they attended high school during (presumably the 50's-60's), or can we use modern clothing and give that approach a sort of benefit of the doubt?

Nukeya
28th May 2008, 2:37 AM
You can do either. In all actuality..I started this with the class of 2001, not intending to do more than just the 1 cycle. So...this is STILL the class of 2001...but 50 years later (who knows what year it is Sim-land :P) So you can dress them however you wish.

A question! I'm dumb and I'm from Slovenia so I don't know all the weird habits of Americans, so excuse me: Library cards?

Nukeya
28th May 2008, 5:35 PM
In schools here, you most generally have to have a library card to check out books from your school library. The ones we had at my school were kind of like a driver's license or ID card that had our picture on it, the name of our school, our name, grade and a barcode at the bottom that the librarian had to scan into the computer. Yours can be anything you wish...basically...it's a slip of paper, a card, or something that allows you to take books out of the library at school.

Name: Tricia Jones

Family heritage/origin: Latin as I've been told from my biological parents. My real parents were anglo-american.

How long did you attend Simville? Since I first entered the kindergarten and until I leaved for college. Gosh, it's almost 15 years!

Current age: 68

In high school, I was known as the book mole. I read most of the books in our library and I was always reading a book, even in the middle of a lesson. That's why my English essays and test papers were always A+ and why all the other subjects were usually something average. Sometimes I'd even read untill morning and fell asleep during school... some of the teachers thought I was so tired from the parties popular girls used to attend. I was a very educated person, but all my knowledge came from books, the school was a nonsense for me. Such a shame I didn't really study from them! Then maybe I could actually travel to Academie le Tour like some of the students in my books have.

In the last five years, I’ve become fosterer of three orphan children and I'm very happy to have someone in the house. Also, I've wroten my 11th book, it's called Bubble Bath and I've allready got an offer from a studio - they want to make a movie based on it! I'm so exited! Oh, and last year my son got married! I'm going to be a granny at last!

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was meeting my biological parents. I was shocked and pleased at the same time! Also, I could never forget my first date.

This DVD is a compile of pictures and movies from when I was cheering at all of the football games, it also includes a lot of pictures of me and my friends in school. The picture on the cover is me with 2 of my best friends, I just love the picture. It shows us our weird side. I had bangs then! worst haircut of my life...eek

http://i26.tinypic.com/16gc2u9.gif (http://i29.tinypic.com/20hxd39.png[/URL)
This had to be my favorite night! Noah Bronston asked me first to our senior prom, and I had no reason to say no. He was my best guy friend and I didn't have a boyfriend at the time. I had to say no to a lot of guys, which was hard for me...i didn't want to hurt any feelings. But we had a blast, we partied and danced all night. And I was announced Prom Queen. I couldn't believe it! Although, everyone was telling me I was going to win.

My first love and boyfriend was Kyle Cartwright. We met at Simville when I was a freshman and he was a junior. we dated until I was a junior then he got crazy in college so we broke up. The last I heard he knocked some girl up. Then I became single and I had time for more friends, thats when I became "Queen Bee" of the school :) Me and Kyle deffinately had our good times ( I would compare us to the notebook minus the ending) I picked the picture for the cover because he could always make me laugh, and i just thought the picture looked "perfect".(my baby sister Kelly took it) I deffinately miss those days

Not-so-good Night

BURNED TO ASHES
SONG: "CHAMPAGNE SUPERNOVA" OASIS
http://i27.tinypic.com/rvvtdw.gif (http://i29.tinypic.com/vwzz2c.jpg[/URL)
Amelia thought it would be a good idea to have a cigarette before classes start. So me and Brittany followed her into the bathroom and had ourselves a smoke. Mrs. Brice shortly walked in after and caught us smoking. Brittany quickly threw hers out and acted inocent but she found it in the trash. so she sent us straight to the principals office. He decided that we were unable to cheer that night. Some odd-ball girl took the picture and put it in the school newspaper! I chose this picture for this DVD because this is how it ended up that we all were unable to cheer, and cheering is my life, so i was really upset.

Confessional:

My favorite part of my high school years was...Cheerleading, and all of the girls I met from it

Looking back, I realize how much I miss...all of my friends, and how crazy we were, skipping class-the rush of adrenaline, and being boy crazy

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be ... laughing at Tricia Jones when she tried out for cheerleading. We mocked her so bad
because...i realize now that she's a great person, and we spent over an hour talking at the reunion.
another thing i regret is not telling Cobain Redding that i had a secret massive crush on him, too bad now, who knows where it would of led us...

Library Card
http://i30.tinypic.com/3038yl2.gif
when I first received my library card i lost it, and it came back to the lost and found with that profanity on it! i cried :(
i never really liked it anyway...my eyes are closed

I attended Simville from 7th grade (when my family moved from Riverblossom Hills) through high school graduation.

The laid-back, fun-lovin', beach-bummin' "surfer dude"

In the last five years, I’ve…
Bought my dream retirement home right by the sea on Twikki Island and written two travel books about snorkeling and scuba diving in the Islands.

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was…

How long did you attend Simville?:
I arrived at Simville in third grade, so that makes me nine.

Current Age:
Sixty-eight and still going strong.

In high school, I was known as...:
I guess that if you wanted to label me, you'd have to call me a jock. I played a lot of sports during high school (soccer being the most important, though I also loved swimming and tennis), but I hung out with kids other than athletes and was actually quite the prankster... not that my ways have changed ;).

In the last five years, I've...:
I'm an environmental scientist (allow the "science geek" name-calling to commence) and, in the past few years, discovered a new species of tree frog. I've spent a lot of time in the Amazon because of this, but I made it home in time to meet my new (and first!) granddaughter.

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was...:
Getting socked by my swim coach because I couldn't stop babbling about my scholarship to M.I.T. Hey, I was excited!

Me back in the day (if only I still looked this good... not complaining, though... a face like this is hard to find flaw in):

In High School I Was Known As:
I was known as that shy, arty girl who never said much in class.

In The Last Five Years I've:
I have moved across town into a friendly little apartment across from SimCity Lake. The people there are fascinating and make for great pictures!

The Most Memorable Thing That Happened To Me In High School Was:
When my photo of a chef got 2nd place in a major photo design contest. The award was 50,000 simeloneons! This allowed me to go to any college I wanted to, I was so happy! :)

Then
I was so incredibly shy when I was young, which I regret. Had I been more outgoing I could have made a lot more friends.

Yuppers! Lookin good :)

To all:

*Took me a while to find an animation program, but I think I've found one that will work...so....we shall HOPEFULLY have finale avatars as there have been the other cycles.

*For your "class picture" pictures, it is most helpful if you post a full-body picture of your sim on a solid colored background which your Sim doesn't blend in with. It will make it MUCh easier for me to cut them out of the backgrounds and combine to make a class picture.

*edit*
I have added Matilda to the roster. She looks great! Thanks for entering Claire and good luck!

Emma Devalles

Family heritage/origin:
French.

How long did you attend Simville?
6 years.

Current age:
67. But still feeling 17.

In high school, I was known as…
I was the girl who ran faster than some of the boys, captain of the soccer team... I would play sport with the boys during the breaks and I was good at it. But, don't get me wrong, I wasn't a tomboy and I must say I was also quite popular among the masculine population.

In the last five years, I’ve…
I have gotten married ; had three grand-children (twin girls and a boy) and a heart surgery (pace-maker).

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was…
When we finally won that championship. We had been loosing for the past five years and then... We won, against Veronaville High and all the posh girls from there with their top of the art equipment.

Erm I forget? Birthdays are pretty much all the same after 40 though right?

In high school, I was known as…
Art FURRR-EEAK
"You know, That kid with the awesome hair?"
and just a general weirdo

In the last five years, I’ve…
Retired from teaching, bought my dream house by the coast, got myself a trophy wife! Oh and my eyebrows just grew back from when I shaved them off in high school...

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was…
Trashing various classrooms in the name of art (and getting away with it...) and gettng "extra tuition" from my art teacher...

Name: Georgina 'Gigi' Santos

Family heritage/origin: I am a latin lady.

How long did you attend Simville? I've been in the Simville school system since the fifth grade. Barely spoke a word of english then and so fell victim to the cruelty of school children.

Current age: Sixty-seven and I've finally got my life together.

In high school, I was known as… the popular girl, but for all the wrong reasons. I was very boy crazy and the majority of my girl friends were just trying to 'keep their enemies closer'. I just wanted to be liked. Those were some years...

In the last five years, I’ve… finally found the man of my dreams after two failed marraiges. I also opened two more bakeries. Soon all of Simville will be able to enjoy confections from 'Georgie's Pudding and Pie'.

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was… well I was homecoming queen then soon after I was the pregnant girl in the hallways. Coming back from christmas break my senior year twice as wide as I was the year before was quite an experience to live through. High school, though many moons ago shaped me in ways I couldn't possibly forget.

Here's a real senior picture. I go by Georgie now, partly because of the bakeries.

How long did you attend Simville? 1 year, I started there my senior year in high school, what a way to get friends huh?

Current age: 68 years and still going strong!

In high school, I was known as… The new girl in town. Or a loner. Everyone had made friends already so that didn't leave a place for me.

In the last five years, I’ve… Moved in with my daughter, her husband recently died so I thought I could help out with the grandbabies. I also have started a seniors dating community, I still have a social life you know!

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was… Joining the girls basketball. That was a great experience even if I was no good at it, but a girl named Emma helped me become better, and we even sort-of became friends back then. If it weren't for the basketball team, I would have been invisible at Simville.

'OH WHAT A NIGHT...'

DVD 1 - Queen of the Night
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc50/tlawblique36/Georgina/homecoming.jpg (http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/jordinsparks/thisismynow.html)
I felt so proud having been voted homecoming queen. It was quite a shock seeing as by that time I'd alienated all the girls in my class thanks to my boy crazy behavior. The girls are usually supposed to be escorted by their fathers but since my dad was m.i.a my friend Vince was my escort. I was in so much shock that I had won but it was fun to see the other nominees throw tantrums in front of their fathers as I was given my bouquet and tiara.

DVD 2 - Sweets from the sweet
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc50/tlawblique36/fair.jpg (http://www.seeklyrics.com/lyrics/Mandy-Moore/Candy.html)
Any event the school had such as a fair or open house I'd bake cakes and sell them. It was mostly for charity or to raise money for the school but once or twice I got to keep the extras. My stand was always the most popular, maybe because I handed out kisses on the side. Nowadays you only get the cake so don't get any ideas.:)

DVD 3 - Life of the Party
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc50/tlawblique36/party.jpg (http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/beastieboys/fightforyourright.html)
Every weekend I'd attend at least two parties. I was the life of the party. Parties which usually ended in me sneaking off with a boy who wasn't necessarily available. Those weren't my best choices.

DVD 4(The not so good night) - This means goodbye...
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc50/tlawblique36/Georgina/hallway.jpg (http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/afinefrenzy/almostlover.html)
It was after a soccer game one evening, namely the one before valentine's day, that my young world was turned upside down. After his game my boyfriend at the time, first love and would have been father of my child, Noel called me into the school hallway. There he proceeded to explain to me how he just had 'too much on his plate' at the moment to deal with my 'situation'. I was devastated and to make matters worse he had his personal cheering squad with him. This threw a huge wrench in my plans because in my juvenile mind I had thought we would have been together forever. A few weeks later I had a miscarraige.

CONFESSIONAL
My favorite part of my high school years was... Despite some of the outcomes it was good fun and free from responsibility - for the most part. I miss how daring and adventurous I was. I'm way too cautious now, always concerned about whether or not I'm gonna break a hip. :)

Looking back, I realize how much I miss... baking just for the love of it and not because it is work. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy it but back then I could break out in a food fight without having to worry about my sales quota for the next day.

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be ... because... I would change the promiscuity. Because of it I had to experience alot of things I wasn't ready for and I also lost alot of girlfriends. I wouldn't trade in any other experience and I don't much regret any of it now.

BONUS TASK - Library Card
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc50/tlawblique36/Georgina/librarycard.jpg

THAT NIGHT...

... we won the championship
We had been working for it for the past 5 years and finally, in my senior year, as I was captain, we made it !!!! An amazing feeling to hold that cup I had dreamed about ever since I started soccer at Simville High.

Song. (http://www.deezer.com/track/18689)

...I had my first date with Bobby Pavelski
It was amazing, I had a crush on him since forever and when he asked me!!! I couldn't believe it. This date was also the beginning of a very long love story : we have been together for the past 50 years and married for 4.

...I graduated
That was amazing. I was sure to graduate, I knew where I was going afterwards : Académie LaTour (thanks to my soccer skills) so during my exams, I wasn't to stressed. But holding this little piece of paper, I never thought it could feel that good.

...Mom met Bobby
I didn't expect her so soon. She found us like that. She said something about never wanting to see this ******* boy ever again in her ******* house but, she got used to him.

CONFESSIONAL

My favorite part of my high school years was...
Everything ! I was a good student, a very good athlete... My soccer paid for college ; I didn't have problems making friends... Highschool was great for me.

Looking back, I realize how much I miss...
The careless lives we led. We could party all night without any consequences... As soon as I left highschool the reality of life hit me : bills, responsabilities... Highschool was easy.

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be ... because...
Probably myself : I was a jock ; a bad one and proud of it. I would laugh at everyone ; mock everyone... Highschool was easy for me so I made it harder for everyone else. Looking back, I wish I hadn't been that stupid.

Here I am at the begining of the year, registering for school. I had to meet with the assistant principal to go over all the school rules.

http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj80/CiaoAlora/Sims/Homecomingdance.jpg
My first event at Simville High, I had a blast!

http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj80/CiaoAlora/Sims/sleepoverparty.jpg
Here I am with the girls on my basketball team. We had a sleepover party when the season finished up and some boy snuck in so I tackled him. I found out later that it was one of the other girls' boyfriend.

http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj80/CiaoAlora/Sims/TheFight.jpg
Another school had invaded the halls of our school after we won the soccer championships. They were causing all kinds of trouble, making messes and talking trash. There was one girl who said a very mean thing to me about my mother. I couldn't let her get away with that now could I?

Confessional:

My favorite part of my high school years was... Well, I guess it would just be how young and carefree I was then. I wasn't afraid to try new things, stay up all night long, or meet new people. I also loved learning how to drive my first car!

Looking back, I realize how much I miss... The people I was in school with. There were some nice people who I didn't get the chance to know better.

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be ... Saying no to the boy who asked me to dance at the homecoming dance because he ended up being crowned the homecoming king that night. If only I could remember his name...

Round One:

Game Night!:

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r253/RabidAngel7/R1GameNightFinal.jpg

Call us girly or whatever you like, but I used to have all-nighters with some friends from the team every other weekend. We would stay up late, play video games, eat pizza, rock out, and swap stories about our... how should I put this... female pursuits ;). You can see Quinn on the far right- he always was the first one to fall asleep.

Spring Break '01!:

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r253/RabidAngel7/R1SpringBreak01.jpg

When I went to Maui with my parents for spring break of senior year, some locals thought I was hot stuff (why wouldn't they?) and I ended up scoring their digits. These two girls in particular fawned over me all week... it wasn't
half bad :D.

Carwash!:

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r253/RabidAngel7/R1AtTheCarwash.jpg

Every spring, the soccer team puts on a carwash as a fundraiser. Our coach was sick and couldn't supervise, so he left the business aspect up to us, but we ended up doing more dancing and checking out girls than we did actually washing cars. At least we had enough money to get through the season (and some numbers)!

BUSTED!:

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r253/RabidAngel7/R1Busted.jpg

Rather than one grand senior prank, I got together a group of guys and we decided to host a week of hijinks to annoy the administration. The grand finale was to set off all of the sprinklers (one going off starts a chain reaction), so I snuck down to the cafeteria and put a lighter under one of them when someone cleared their throat behind me. It was the principal! He knew I was behind it all and gave me a week of summer detention... totally worth it, though.

Library Card:

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r253/RabidAngel7/R1LibraryCard.jpg

I hate this picture! The librarian's assistant was totally hot, but I'd heard she was untouchable and was trying my best to charm her. It definitely didn't work- she took my picture in the middle of a wink as a means of rejection.

Confessional:

My favorite part of my high school years was...:
This is a tough choice- girls or sports. I would have to say sports because I got a lot out of them- physical fitness, lifelong friends, discipline, great memories, and a scholarship to M.I.T, to boot.

Looking back, I realize how much I miss...:
Staying in one place. I was rooted in Simville for four years in high school- I had ties in every corner of town and only left for vacations and tournaments. Now, my work takes me around the world and although my wife comes with me, I get tired of not being able to go home because home changes every few months. I love my job, but I wish that we had more exotic creatures to discover back in Simville where my family is!

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be...:
I guess I was rather promiscuous as a teenager, but I wouldn't change that. What I would change is asking Emma Devalles to junior prom. She was the captain of the girls' soccer team, I was the captain of the boys'... it just made perfect sense that we should go together (and she was smoking hot). She didn't feel the same way and turned me down to go with a basketball player; she was one of the few girls to ever reject me and one of the first to make me realize how little fun that is. I couldn't look at her without blushing for the rest of our high school career.

So you wanna know more about me?
Winning the Governors Cup Best in Show Awards was one of the greatest moments in my life. Before the show, I was so doubtful about all my work, I even had reservations about calling myself an artist. I would always look at photographers such as Diane Arbus and wonder, "Wow...I will never be that good." But when I won the GCBSA in photography I realized that I was in fact a very good photographer.
http://i26.tinypic.com/s30akg.jpg

When you are the best of friends...
My best friend, Corine and I met when I was just a little toddler. We were inseperable through our school years. Some of my fondest memories are from my crazy sleepovers with her. We were one dynamic duo. She was preppy and sporty, and I was the little geeky kid. But, despite our differences we still loved eachother as friends.
http://i27.tinypic.com/zx0jv5.jpg

On the radio...
When my mom had my little sister Callie I was expecting an annoying little brat who would drool on my camera. But, boy was I wrong! She was quiet and smart and an overall great sister. When my mom died I tried my hardest to mother her...I hope I did alright.
http://i25.tinypic.com/skujgi.jpg

Are you watching me?
This may not be exactly highschool related, but it happened when I was a freshman and greatly impacted the person I was from then on. Before my mothers death I was just a happy go lucky girl. Then it happened. It was a car accident caused by a drunk driver. It changed my life forever. I hacked off my hair and went through a deep spiral of depression. I got over most of the grief, but to this day there is still a piece of me missing.
http://i31.tinypic.com/97mmf7.jpg
The Confessional
My favorite part of my high school years was... I know I should respond with how great highschool was and how I had the time of my life there..but, honestly, I hated highschool. Nobody, except some very close friends even knew I existed.

Looking back, I realize how much I miss... I really did love my art teacher. She was such an inspiration to me! Not only were her photos great, but she always was there to lend a helping hand when I hit a creative block.

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be ... I wish I had been more confident with myself. Then maybe instead of being invisible I would actually be noticable. I mean, I was a nice kid, and if given the chance I think I really could have had many great friends. But, you can't change the past I guess...

Family heritage/origin: Gee...bit of this, bit of that. I'll be safe and say Caucasian.

How long did you attend Simville?: Once a week...hahah, since the seventh grade. My family moved from upstate

Current age: 58...only eighteen years after my life began at fourty!

In high school, I was known as… the Burn-Out.

In the last five years, I’ve… Finalized the opening of my own rehab centre, bought a nice little place on the beach for the wife and me, and taken up lawn bowels. Cmom, you're only old once!

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was… i passed an exam once. That stunned the pants off my parents. And there was this one girl...she was pretty damn memorable. I guess the most memorable thing about High School, looking back, is my total inability to remember most of it! Now how many people can say that!?

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y117/Tixi/Sims/snapshot_554d79cb_b54d8050.jpg

That time me and my mate Haz rallied his little Laser until the engine was moaning. The tires finally blew in the park so we sat on the grass drinking Bourbon and lighting fires. It was great fun at the time but god i was so stupid!! It's a wonder I'm alive today!

DVD 2
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y117/Tixi/Sims/snapshot_554d79cb_554d80cc.jpg

Me and Haz snuck into the school in the Holidays and smoked some...not exactly tobacco. We thought we were so tough and rebellious. Again, duh, self!! Did i want to spend the rest of my life in Juvi??! We sure laughed for hours though.

DVD 3
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y117/Tixi/Sims/snapshot_554d79cb_954d81e5.jpg

This was a good time in my life. The first time a girl who wasn't a total drop-out talked to me. Her name was Emily and she was so nice...i had butterflies for hours afterward. I never was lucky in love though...

DVD 4
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y117/Tixi/Sims/snapshot_554d79cb_954d82ac.jpg

...before the Prom i asked Emily if she would go with me. Her friends were giggling and pointing at me. I must have smelt like BO and smoke. Erg! Anyway, she smiled at me. Good start...
"Wow, Tom...I'd love to. It's just that, I'm already going with my boyfriend. Sorry"

Ouch.

Confessional...

My favorite part of my high school years was... I won't lie - it was drugs. I was a real drop-kick. I have almost no real High School memories. It's kinda sad sometimes to look through that empty year book.

Looking back, I realize how much I miss... being young! I'm not exactly wheelchair-bound, but I'd be class-bloody-president for six years to get rid of my gammy knee and high blood pressure. To be able to eat a Big Mac without my wife fretting for days. I definitely took it all for granted!

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be ... because... I'd change the hell i put my parents through, because they never did a thing wrong by me, yet i tormented them by staying out for days on end, never doing homework, skipping class and never being sober enough to talk to them properly. I really regret abusing mum & dad's infinite love and patients.

Name:Caitlyn Carter or CeCe as I was known back then

Family Heritage/Origin: Anglo American

How Long Did You Attend Simville?: 3 years. My time at Simville was the longest I'd ever spent at one school as my father was in the Army so we lived all over the world and we were never in one place very long until he retired and we moved back to Simville. Simville was the first school I really had a chance to become a part of and it will always be special to me.

Current Age: A lady never tells. But I graduated 50 years ago so it shouldn't be too hard to guess!

In High School I Was Known As: Senior Class President and Valedictorian. I like to think I turned all the geeky student council sterotypes on their heads because, without sounding too big headed, I was pretty and popular but at the same time I had an overwhelming desire to chnage things for the better. I quit my position on the cheerleading squad to become more involved in school politics and I like to think that I helped make positive changes at Simville during my reign as school president.

In The Last Five Years I've:Become a grandmother for the first time to beautiful twin girls August and Rose and I've taken more of a back seat in politics to allow me to spend more time with my family. I recently completed a road trip around America - something I've always wanted to do but never got around to until now.

The Most Memorable Thing That Happened To Me In High School Was:

Falling out with my best friend Kayleigh during Sophomore year over Kyle Cartwright was pretty memorable. It changed my entire time at Simville. I had to find a completely new group of friends and it was all over a boy I probably wouldn't look at twice now. I regret holding a grudge against Kayleigh though, we probably would have still been friends now if we hadn't both been so stubborn. And if I had my time over I definitely wouldn't scrawl profanities on her library card again!

However, I guess I can't really say that was the most memorable drama during my time at Simville.

I was involved in probably the biggest scandal ever to hit Simville and everyone at the reunion will remember as clear as it was yesterday so there's no point me trying to gloss over it now.

In Senior year I had an affair with my Geography teacher Trent Rivers. He was newly qualified and barely a few years older than I was at the time. He was the teacher's representative on the school council so we spent a lot of time together and his love for politics and desire to leave a mark on the world mirrored mine so perfectly that we couldn't help by get along and enjoy spending time together. It wasn't long before our passion for politics developed into a passion for each other.

50 years on maybe it's time I set the record straight. It wasn't a fling or some passing crush. I was truly in love with Trent Rivers and when we were found out after 5 months of keeping our relationship a secret I was heartbroken.

Heartbroken and pregnant.

Only I didn't know that until Trent had quietly left town in an attempt to salvage what was left of his tattered reputation. I couldn't walk down the halls without people staring and pointing and there was talk of me being stripped on my Presidency title. Thankfully that never happened but what did happen has stayed with me throughout my life.

Two weeks after Trent left I collapsed in front of the whole Senior class as I gave a speech at a pep rally. I lost a baby I didn't even know I was carrying until it was too late.

Senior year was hard to finish after that but I did it and I'd like to think I did it well.

Then:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/LouLou_2983/Ceceheadshot.jpg

I remember the day this was taken I got drenched shortly afterwards by Cobain Redding's sprinkler prank! I had quite a crush on him back then. I think the feeling may have been mutual as he made a flirty comment about wet t-shirts when he saw me drenched. It was the end of Senior year by then though so nothing ever became of it.

Now:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/LouLou_2983/CeCeelderheadshot.jpg

I'd like to think that I've aged well but every time I look in the mirror it tells me otherwise! I've done my best as in my profession image is everything and no one will vote for an old fashioned granny!

(The gender's are reversed in this song but I just felt it expressed the situation really well and was funny)

I loved every minute of my relationship with Trent even if we did have to sneak around after hours. He was my first love and that's the special one that always stays with you no matter what comes later. This was the photo that brought everything crashing down. Our relationship was out in the open. I guess, looking back it was always going to happen sooner or later I just didn't expect to be exposed on the front page of The Franklin, the school newspaper!

And we certainly had fun well...*smiles* exploring each other's Geography
shall I say?

Soundtrack: "One Girl Revolution" by Superchick. Lyrics here:http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/superchick/onegirlrevolution.html

The day of the Senior Class elections was definitely the best day I ever had at Simville. I spent the whole day campaigning with my friends and when it was announced that evening that I'd won by a landslide majority it felt so fantastic, like I could do anything I wanted if I put my mind to it. This is me stood infront of some of my campaigning. Instead of the normal generic posters I stuck notes all over the lockers with key words that I would do if I was voted President, for example I wanted to build a stronger community and inspire people to work to make the school a better place. I also stuck a big photo of my in my underwear on the side of the school bus with the slogan "Victoria's Real Secret...She's voting for CeCe". Boy did I get in trouble for that! It got the male vote though ;)

Rating: PG

Soundtrack: "Don't Judge This Book" by The Moffatts. Lyrics here:http://www.mp3lyrics.org/m/moffatts/dont-judge-this-book/

I was working late in the library on a school project with Jennah Williams and Dexter Lothario one night when the central locking system failed. This meant my access code wouldn't work to open the doors and we were stuck there the entire night. I'd been put in a project group with them by our teacher Mr Heckles and I hadn't really been pleased about this as I'd wanted to be with my best friends Casey and Jaynie. That night however I really got to know Jennah and Dexter and we got along so well. I learnt so any things about them I would never have imagined. This picture is of me teaching Dexter one of my old cheerleading routines. He insisted I teach him but them couldn't keep up and Jennah found it hilarious.

The next morning when the librarians arrived and finally let us out of the library we all went for breakfast together at a little cafe across from school and even though in school we never really had any contact we did this again and again once a week until graduation. Being locked in the library gave me two fantastic friends.

Once Bitten, Twice Shy...

Rating; 12 Contains one scene of mild violence. May be unsuitable for younger children.

Soundtrack: "Leave Right Now" by Will Young. Lyrics here:http://www.lyrics007.com/Will%20Young%20Lyrics/Leave%20Right%20Now%20Lyrics.html

[i]Senior Prom was not a good night for me. I'd asked my friend Kris to go with me just as friends but he didn't feel right doing so because he had a long distance girlfriend so I went alone and all the loved up couples just reminded me of Trent and how much I missed him. Posing for my Official Prom photo at the entrance alone was not an experience I cherished!

When he'd said goobye Trent had told me that he'd always love me and that when school was over he'd come back for me. At the time I wanted to believe it more than anything but as time went on and one season flowed into the next I came to the conclusion that we just weren't meant to be and I never dreamt he'd actually come back.

Especially not in the middle of Prom.

The first I knew of his return was when I heard Christy Lane shout "Like oh my god it's Mr Rivers!". I looked up and there he was striding towards me. When he finally stopped I still don't really know what came over me but suddenly all the pain and heartache I had been through since he left came rushing over me and I slapped him. Hard.

When he regained his composure, his face tinged red with the imprint of my right hand, he asked me to leave with him. To start over free from the student-teacher relationship that used to define us.

It would have been so easy just to walk out of Simville High with him and never look back but no matter how much I loved him I knew that wasn't where my life was supposed to go. I was headed for Harvard and I couldn't always be the girl who'd slept with her teacher. Leaving Simville was finally my chance to really move on from that and all he was really asking me to do was take one giant leap backwards.

So with all the strength I could muster I told him no and I walked out of Senior Prom without looking back, leaving him to stare after me for the last time. Only once I was outside did I allow a tear to slowly fall down my cheek. And I have to admit that for years after there was always a constant ache in my heart that made me wonder if I'd done the right thing.

We certainly put on quite a show for the Prom goers though. In fact we could have sold tickets. Oh yeah we did...

...Confessional...

My favorite part of my high school years was... My time as Senior Class President. Before this I'd been your typical popular girl, I was a cheerleader, I dated jocks and I was one of the people everyone wanted to be associated with but I admit I was very judgemental and only wanted to know the "in crowd". Joining the school council gave me the opportunity to mingle with people I would never normally have even spoken to and I made some really great friends who I never would have had otherwise.

Looking back, I realize how much I miss... Fitting into a size four dress.

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be ... Seriously I wouldn't change a thing, because everything that happened back then has made me who I am today.

Library card:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v115/LouLou_2983/CeCelibrary.jpg

Boy was that a bad hair day! I'd slept late and not had time to do anything with it. And just to make things worse I'd lost a contact during Gym class so had to swap to my glasses. Then they had to go and take it before I was ready didn't they?

As you can tell from the fading I actually used this card quite a lot, I was a conscientious student. Although one of the assistants in the library was a total hottie and it wasn't just the books I was checking out if you know what I mean!

I got a lecture from the librarian once about the state of my card, apparently as President I should have been setting a better example! Alexei De La Rosa helped with the art work for my election campaign and he drew the picture of the White House for me on voting day.

As Senior Class President I was the only student in school with level 3 access to the library. I had access to all the resources and a code to get into the library after hours. My friends and I had a party in there once when our original venue let us down at the last minute - thankfully we were never found out or boy would I have been in trouble!

I never did find out whose number that was scrawled at the top of my card. I guess I'll never know now!

**All contestants and judges**
In the past, I've had a fairly even number of guy and gal entries, and each round, there were eliminations leading to the "king and queen" of the reunion. This time, the numbers are quite unbalanced so far (though I know there's still a few days left for apps and round 1) but I was thinking perhaps we could change it a bit. Since this is the final cycle, I was thinking that since there are 2 winners here anyhow and stars are only given to single winner contests, it might be nice to allow all to participate in all of the rounds. If changed to that, then the top scoring guy and gal at the end would be the winners. I posted a poll which you can vote. Also...feel free to send me a pm if you have any questions or comments.

* Spelling Bee Champion

http://www4.slikomat.com/08/0604/4dm-14.jpg

This is me in the final competition of our national spelling championship. I couldn't believe when I won it, I never even thought I was so good! After all, all the reading repayed with a great award and honour. For a few weeks, the whole crowd of Simwille High teachers adored me... It was fabolous! And my opponent was Shannon Deep, who later became my good friend.

* Letters were my friends, books were my lovers

http://www4.slikomat.com/08/0604/hwl-8.jpg

So much of my teenage life was spend reading and I was so into it that I didn't even notice my mum taking pictures of me in the meantime. This is me, reading the latest Harry Potter book (wich were very popular 50 years ago) and beeing impressed by Rowling's great imagination.

* With a little help from my friend

http://www4.slikomat.com/08/0604/ygv-12-cop.jpg

This is me with Shannon. We were very close, some said that too close. I think there was some kind of love and passion between us, even if later in our lives we only had male partners - not that Sha was my lover :D Shannon and I shared everything and we were always together for weekends. It was so sweet, I really had fun.
In the photo we are on the beach infront of my home, talking.

* Miss Lonely

http://www4.slikomat.com/08/0604/h3v-13-cop.jpg

That's how I spent my nights. A guy of my age once asked me out and I was thrilling, it would have been my first date ever. He didn't ever showed up. I was waiting for him to knock the whole evening... next week he totally ignored me. I guess letting the dreamy girl down was some kind of joke for him and his fancy friends.

Confessional

My favorite part of my high school years was... part? This is a hard question. I didn't like the end, because I had to change the environment and move to college. I didn't like the start, because I knew there were so many years of studying ahead. I didn't like it in the middle, because it was... school. My favorite part of my high school were the weekends and holidays with Shannon.

Looking back, I realize how much I miss... my locker! I have so many beautiful memories of my little yellow locker. Sadly, the last weeks of my high school I was very sick and I missed the day when we should empty them. The charwomen threw my stuff away...

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be ... me spending no time with my classmates because... I realize some were even more lonely than me or actually really cool (not that I'd want to be friends with that stuffed shirt of our prom queen). The girl that moved to Simville in our Senior year for example. She was so unhappy and I did - nothing.

I stored my library card as a precious memory on my high school. I was very familiar with all the librarians and have borrowed hundreds of books, mostly novels. The card was stored in my diary for 50 years now, so all the stains and blots were made before. It's not strange, the card was always in my pocket!

Name: Kristofer Taylor

Family heritage/origin:
Mostly German...small bit Italian

How long did you attend Simville?
Kindergarten through 12th....13 years.

Current age:
Graduated at 17, so that would make me 67.

In high school, I was known as…
I was mostly kind of a laid back guy, avid member of the local co-ed soccer team, you know...just your average guy I suppose. Didn't really get into a whole lot of trouble...though, that doesn't mean I was an angel by anymeans.

In the last five years, I’ve…
In the last five years, retired, held my first great-grandchild, and bought a lake house.

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was…
One of the things I remember most vividly from high school was the time that the janitor locked me in the locker room. It was after soccer practice which had gone way late. I had just gotten showered and was getting dressed when the lights flicked off and I could hear the lock clicking. I had to stumble around in the dark and find the lights. I pounded on the door for about 15 minutes before the damned janitor came to let me out. Found out later it was his first night on the job, so I couldn't be too mad at him. Makes for an amusing story now though.

My favorite part of my high school years was... definately the soccer games and the bus rides to and from the away games. We had some fun on those buses let me tell ya. I'm sure the bus driver didn't appreciate having to drive us too much.

Looking back, I realize how much I miss...school lunches! And no...NOT for the food....but it was the one part of the day I always looked forward to because we got to actually sit and talk to everyone

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be ... that I would have given more people the chance to get to know me and would have taken the time to get to know more people. I say this because...now that we're all here and we've taken the time to get to know each other more, I see that there was alot I missed out on.

"Oh What a Night"

Soccer!! (http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d85/BritskyB/SHCR%20Cycle%203/goalie1.jpg)

The night that it was pouring down rain, yet our soccer game continued on. It was my freshman year and it was the co-ed championships...and...WE WON! I bet Emma remembers it. I know she was the captain of the girl's school team and ours was the co-ed teams, but being the soccer nut I remember her to have been, I bet she remembers that night.

First Love (http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d85/BritskyB/SHCR%20Cycle%203/kris1.jpg)

Not only did I fall in love with the sport of soccer, I also ended up falling in love with Cassondra Carter. She was the oldest daughter of the Carter family...I'm sure you all remember them as the "homeschooled" kids. I remembered through grade school always thinking that that family was so weird when I'd see them out. After spending time with Cassie during soccer, I couldn't help but fall for her.

Welcome Home! (http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d85/BritskyB/SHCR%20Cycle%203/kris2-1.jpg)

My mom had my brother towards the end of my freshman year. We were all shocked because mom had always been told she couldn't have more kids after me. I remember her handing him to me and seeing him laying there looking at me. I couldn't have been a prouder big brother.

Miss You! (http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d85/BritskyB/SHCR%20Cycle%203/kris3.jpg)

The middle of our junior year, the Carters moved out of state...and I didn't see Cassie again the rest of high school. The night she came over to tell me her dad had gotten a new job and they were moving was probably the worst night ever for me. I guess you could have called me a romantic when I was younger, but I really loved that girl and it was so hard to say goodbye to her. We tried coming up with all kinds of ways that we could stay together, but none of them worked.

Round One - Oh What A Night

"The Upstager!" (http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j96/emodawg/mybaby.png)

I think my favourite memery of high school would have to be crowd surfing during an awards presentation for a school art competition. Just as Principal Smith was getting ready to give us (me 3rd place, Matilda 2nd and some weirdo loner kid who name I forget 1st) our gift certificates or whatever, I had the sudden urge to spice up the dull assembly and dived onto a row of jocks sitting at the front. Principal Smith gave the coldest look and a couple weeks detention, Matilda seemed pretty freaked out by my random lunging off stage and the other kid? He didn't seem to notice much...

Art Burn (http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j96/emodawg/artburn.png)

Before I got to high school I had already decided that art was my first love but studying it in further depth led to discover artist who really inspired me, one being Banksy, who showed me that art didn'tjust have to be pretty or hang on walls. It woulc be daring, brutal, provactive and even revolutionary. That's when my work started to change, I wanted to make bigger and more daring pieces and my opportunity came. My best friend Lorene really believed that not enough was being done in school to promote awareness or money about some of the poorest places in the world, particulary when a natural disaster hit. We would have a voluentary collection but unsurprisingly they would collect a pitiful amount of small change, loose buttons and old bottle caps. She had been rallying for some sort of annual fundraiser to be done but her proposal was palmed off by Principical Smith so we decided to recreate a disaster zone in his office to really get our point across. Despite initally being threatened with expulsion we got what we wanted! Lorene got her fundraiser and I got a scholarship to my art school of choice for my "refreshing and daring style and attitude". The best part of this had to be getting away with trashing the principal's office though...

cameraWHORE (http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j96/emodawg/cameraWHORE.png)

High school is a place of discovery. You can really question who you are, who you want to be, your likes dislikes etc. and I utilised this time not so much by being philosophical but with messing around with my appearance with every giving opportunity... I wasn't vain (though I won't begrudge you for disagreeing) I saw dying my hair, or messing around with make-up and later on getting tattoos as an extention of my love and need to be creative. I also quite liked everyone thinking I was a bit weird =P.

Not So Great Memory...

Uh-Oh (http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j96/emodawg/badtimes.png)

I was hanging around my junior year girlfriend Riley's house, we had been messing around, making and were pretty sure we were alone, that's why when I needed the bathroom I didn't knock before entering... Despite getting a pretty nice view, walking in on my girlfriend's mum had to probably be one of the most embarassing experiences of my life. What was worse was the next day Riley dumped me too! *mutters*

Confessional

http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j96/emodawg/6ae029ae.jpg

Ta-da! The damn librarian or whatever spelt my name wrong every damn year! My senior one is pretty pristine because I lost it the day after I was gvien it. When I found it months after under my bed, I discovered that something had taken pretty big bites out of it... I'd like to thank Simville High, for helping me discover I had mice in my room :)

My favorite part of my high school years was...
I had a LOT of free time, I miss that. I guess I miss just messing around with my friends, doing stupid stuff.

Looking back, I realize how much I miss...
The quality napping time I got in chemistry class but apart from that... nothing really.

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be ...
I'm not really one for regrets but looking back I was a bit of a pretenticious prick and probably could have been less judgemental because... though I love my group of friends in high school and have never really lost touch with them, who knows, me being a snob and assuming anyone who didnt like the same music/clothes/views/values etc was stupid/boring/rude or whatever, probably kept meeting some pretty cool people.

If I wasn't soooo bad with time I'd enter another boy...:)

Family heritage/origin: English. Originally born in England.

Current age: 67

How long did you attend Simville? From 7th grade up to graduation. I transferred to Simville High when I moved here from England.

In high school, I was known as… just that guy. Nothing special, but not forgettable. Not the class clown, but a jokester. Not the ladies man, but got a fair share of dates.

In the last five years, I’ve… married off my granddaughter, gotten a divorce and retired to the coast.

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was… the entire last week of school. So many amazing and memorable events went on that week, all leading up to graduation.

Name: Daryl Winston

Family heritage/origin: I am chinese-irish. Call me chirish.

How long did you attend Simville? I've attended Simville schools since pre-school but there were alot of grades skipping.

Current age: I am a young and sprite sixty-four years old.

In high school, I was known as… Known? If they knew me as anything it was the 'thirteen year old boy genius' who weaseled his way into their senior class. I was actually thirteen and three quarters.

In the last five years, I’ve… Bought Simcro Network and expanded my Software company. I also celebrated the birth of my first son, I have a nine year old daughter, who is now four years old. He's the heir to the throne. Oh, my fabulous wife is twenty-two years younger than I am so his birth was not a sign of the apocalypse.

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was… Graduating. It wasn't alot of fun for me at all. Even the nerds and geeks wouldn't accept me. I was even hazed by the robotics club but they quickly turned around when they needed my help. I got invited to a gaming party once and they gave me the wrong address. Fun memories.

My mother, god rest her soul, made sure I had the worst hair cuts possible. That sure helped me out alot.

You guys missed the good hair years. This comb over isn't doing much for me either.

Oh What a Night...

Spring Break; Senior Year
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y114/paigeyt/Sims/good2.jpg

Senior year a few of my friends and I decided to take a road trip down the coast to some warmer weather. The trip was a blast. We got two amazing hotel rooms and the beach was awesome. It was the best week of relaxing and fun ever!

Navy Acceptance Letter
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y114/paigeyt/Sims/good3.jpg

I couldn't decide what college I wanted to go to. Then I thought, who says I need to go to college? So I decided to enlist in a special sector of the Navy, since I love the ocean so much. When I got the letter that I was in I couldn't have been happier.

Graduation
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y114/paigeyt/Sims/good1.jpg

What high school senior doesn't love graduation day? I know that I was excited to be getting out of high school. There were some wonderful memories, but I was anxious to start the next part of my life. Graduation is one of the life landmarks a kid looks forward to.

Suspension
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y114/paigeyt/Sims/bad.jpg

As a senior prank a group of us all brought bags of water balloons to use on the teachers. Most of them thought of it as good fun. Unfortunately I chose to get the principal. He didn't seem to think of it as good fun. That one little prank cost me two days of suspension and the class trip. I was bummed I couldn't go with my friends. But it was still worth it.

Confessional

My favorite part of my high school years was... definitely the people that I met. I was never much of a social guy, but I met the best people in high school. I loved meeting new people and making friends.

Looking back, I realize how much I miss... all of the free time. In high school you never really realize how little you actually have to do. Once you're out in the real world with a job, you miss that free time very much.

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be... how outgoing I was, because... there were always girls that I fancied, but never asked out. I wish I didn't think so much about it. I took school a little too seriously. Getting good grades is definitely important, but making friends and having fun is too.

Library Card
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y114/paigeyt/Sims/librarycard.jpg

I may not have been very outgoing with the ladies, but I was definitely a jokester sometimes. This is the perfect example. What better time to make a ridiculous face then when taking a library card picture? As you can see I took very good care of mine. I never had too much spare cash to buy books, so I would abuse my library card to get the books I wanted. I've always been a big reader. I still enjoy it.

Name: Marcus Thompson

Family heritage/origin:
Half Puertorican/half African American
How long did you attend Simville? I moved there just befor starting High school... So, 4 years

Current age: 68

In high school, I was known as…
I consider myself hard to label... But, people, I was the one the girls called cute and the jocks called gay... The one you never picked in sports class to team with, but the one you asked if you could copy his homework... Smart and a thinker for sure, but not that much of a real nerd. Just prefered sitting at the beach writing poems or read a novel instead of goin to the movies... Prefered to take ballet classes instead of hip hop or breakdance... The one who played the piano, while everyone else preferred to play the guitar... I was your all romantic guy.

In the last five years, I’ve…
I retired from my job as a journalist. And now, instead of die from boredom, I am writing novels. The first one got published two and a half years ago and actually got pretty good critiques.

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was…
My first and only love... Maria Rosa Barroso...The brazilian exchange student... She was perfect.. Smart, beautiful, simply breath taking. I never met a girl or woman like her again. I felt back then, and I still feel that I was made for loving her. Only her.

PNG is just another file format for transferring digital images on the net. You don't have to use that though. A JPG is fine. PNGs allow for a little better quality as they don't compress the pictures as much so you don't lose so much of the quality. You're good to go. :)

Okie dokie. I'll go back through and make sure everything's updated here shortly.

TLAWBLIQUE360- I added Daryl to Gigi's avatar so you can redownload yours with the addition if you'd like.

I also have Marcus and Ryker's avatars up and added to the avatar (http://forums.sims2community.com/showpost.php?p=1191420&postcount=53) post.

*update*
I've gone through and updated links to apps and round ones and it looks like I'm missing round 1 from: Adz, Todd, Daryl, Marcus and Ryker (though I know some of you are new. You're good...still have 2 days left. Let me know if I missed anything :)

**As of right now, it looks like we will be allowing all through to the final round and the 2 with the highest scores (guy and gal) will be the winners. If anyone has a big problem with that change...please pm me.**

This means:

*There will be NO eliminations for each of the rounds 1-3.

 You may enter up to two Sims (though, since many contests generally run a little heavy on the female side, if you are entering two Sims, at least one must be a male, though you MAY enter 2 males- think of it as an opportunity to step out of your comfort zone if you don’t generally model males ;) ) If you DO chose to enter two Sims, BOTH of them will be allowed to remain in the contest just as any other contestant until the final round. Only ONE of your Sims, however can win a section of the contest. If both of your Sims have the top score for their section (guy and girl) whoever has the lower score of the 2 will be dropped and the next highest for that section (guy or gal) will take their place as king/queen.

I know some of you may be here for a star, but since there are 2 winners at the end, you won't qualify. :( At the same time, we are all here because this is something we enjoy. Don’t ruin it for others!

 Again, I hope you all enjoy yourselves and wish you luck. Let me know if you have any questions/concerns/comments!

DVD 1 - 'Alone but not Lonely'
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc50/tlawblique36/Georgina/darlynightin.jpg (http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/bonjovi/itsmylife.html)
I spent most of my nights in my room. Notice the motherboard walls. I wasn't the kind of kid that moped around. I was who I was and I'd have a hell of a time 'fixing' my computers and everything else I could get my hands on, busting moves to tunes on the radio or playing with my toys. I'm my parents only son and also the youngest so they'd buy me pretty much whatever gadget I wanted. My room was my playground. Not a bad place to spend all your time if you had to.

DVD 2 - 'Benchwarmer'
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc50/tlawblique36/Georgina/debatedaryl.jpg (http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/johnmayer/waitingontheworldtochange.html)
My mom thought it was unhealthy for me to spend so much time alone so she pushed me to join clubs. I joined the debate team senior year but I was pretty much there to warm the bench... oh and write the speeches. I wasn't as eloquent as I am now. I was benched pretty much any club I joined.

DVD 3 - 'All in the Family'
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc50/tlawblique36/Georgina/darylmart.jpg (http://www.digitaldreamdoor.com/pages/lyrics3/Queen_Under_Pressure.html)
On nights when I could tear myself away from my social commitments- insert laughter here- I would get dragged down to work the register at my dad's mart. Ask me to take the register apart, no problem, but using it was a whole different thing. I was no good at it plus there must have been some labor laws my dad was breaking to keep me in there.

DVD 4(The not so good night) - 'Lord of the Dance'
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc50/tlawblique36/Georgina/daryldancefix.jpg (http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/jonasbrothers/mandy.html)
So there was this girl (isn't it funny how most teenage tales start like this one?) we'll call Mandy that I had the hugest crush on, one of many. She was an aspiring ballerina and in an effort to get her to like me I volunteered my services to be the male lead in a piece her dance troop was doing for a school concert. No other guy would do it which should have been warning enough. Long story short, for most of the dance I was turned the wrong way and the audience had a field day. She thought it was 'cute' and funny but I should have known she would have never gone out with me either way.

CONFESSIONAL
My favorite part of my high school years was... the end of it. I got into S.I.T. (Sim City Institute of Technology) and got my learners permit that summer. Well one thing about high school that I miss was being care free. I was much younger than the general population so I had a different perspective. Peer pressure and all the drama was never an issue for me.

Looking back, I realize how much I miss...being doted on by all the teachers at Simville High. Once I got to S.I.T. the coddling was done. It was like the professors there resented my very presence.

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be ... because... the whole boy genius issue. Although it felt good to be ahead of the game once I'd gone through the school system I would have liked to be a proper teenager in high school. I've had my fair share of fun since then but I still feel like I'm making up for those years.

Heck, I'm probably not going to win, but here goes!

Name:
Soren Calvin

Family heritage/origin:
Half French, quarter Italian and a quarter Scottish.

How long did you attend Simville?
10 years. I'd have preferred to stay in France, but my parents put their figurative foot down.

Current age:
68

In high school, I was known as…:
The lone rocker. Seriously, that was my nickname- I wasn't a fan of company back then.

In the last five years, I’ve…:
-Made it on Fivers top earners list.
-Watched my daughter Carla get married.
-Got married myself.
-Adopted a son.

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was…:
-Going out with Sally Rogan, who I later married (and divorced, but that's another story).
-Landing my first gig at her parents' bar.
-Meeting my hero, Romaine Salde, at said gig.
-Getting my first ever record deal as a result! Romaine was so impressed with my performance, he spoke to a friend of his and landed me the deal. I was elated- though my parents insisted on mentioning it to everyone they saw, which got a tad embarrassing after a while.

The Good Ol' Days...

http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t211/sbconnol/SHCR-Finale/Round1-DVD1.jpg
Some of the best times of my high school days were spent at Crumplebottom Cay with my friends, our boards, and the waves. After a long day of surfing and goofing off in the water, the gang and I would camp out on the beach with a bonfire and toast marshmallows, dreaming of making it big one day.

http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t211/sbconnol/SHCR-Finale/Round1-DVD2.jpg
I will never forget the summer of '99 when I was selected to help judge the "Bathing Beauties of Madeira Beach" contest... The girls were all so lovely and talented (in many ways) and so it was very hard to choose only one to reign as "Queen of the Beach." In the end, I chose Janine, the ravishing raven-haired beauty standing by the palm tree seen on the cover.

http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t211/sbconnol/SHCR-Finale/Round1-DVD3-chickens.jpg (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMTel_P3SsM&feature=related)
In retrospect, having Tony tag along filming our exploits for posterity was probably not a good idea afterall (considering Principal Hickie got his hands on the evidence) but it certainly was exciting! My contribution to the big Senior Prank was the infamous Run of the Chickens in the Teacher's Lounge; trust me, sneaking in a half-dozen large and irate chickens was one of the trickiest things I think I ever did back then (if only I had put so much thought and effort into my schoolwork!). Click on the Photo to Hear the Song on Youtube, it's a hoot!

The "Not-So-Good" Times

http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t211/sbconnol/SHCR-Finale/Round1-DVD4.jpg
I almost spent as much time grounded for lackluster grades as I did with my friends. Mom would sentence me to several hours of strict studying and social isolation. At the time I really resented her for it, but now I realize that she was actually looking out for my best interests in the long term (it still was awfully dull though!).

Confessional:

My favorite part of my high school years was...
Hands down, my favorite part of high school was meeting so many great and diverse people. I know it sounds cliche and silly, but I really feel like our class was something special, like no other class would ever be able to exactly replicate or come close to the dynamics and experiences we all went through.

Looking back, I realize how much I miss...
Even though I'm lucky to be semi-retired these days, I really miss those months of summer vacation every year. We adults should have something similar in order to recharge our batteries and enjoy life more.

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be... because...
Heh, I would definitely have worked a wee bit harder at studying. I had wanted to be a marine mammal trainer, but with my fair-to-middlin' grades there was no way I was able to enter into a decent marine zoology program. Although I suppose a career as a professional scuba diver and tour guide in the tropics suited my personality much better anyway.

Library Card
http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t211/sbconnol/SHCR-Finale/Round1-librarycard.jpg
This was actually a fairly decent picture of me back in the day. I cringe when I think of how much I probably owe in library late fines; I think I still have that biography of William Wright that I used on a history paper in Ms. Higgin's class somewhere in my parent's house.

Music:"Sous le vent" by Garou and Celine Dion
My first time dancing ballet together with Maria Rosa at our Ballet School. I was the onliest boy these, besides the one that signed up just for being close to a girl he liked. DVD 2

Music: Sixthsense nonthericher:"Kiss Me"
Ahhh... Our first kiss. After oneof our numerous ballet nights, she told me in her sweet brazilian accent that she had strong feelings for me and that she would like to do way more together with me than just ballet. I am sure I blushed, I didnt know what to say. So she just kissed me. We still had to be careful about our relationship. Maria Rosa was living with her aunt in Simville to better her simlish while her studies and go to Dance Academy after High School. She knew her aunt wouldnt tolerate Maria Rosa having a boyfriend in Simville and she would be sent straight back home the day her aunt'd find out.

My prom night. I was supposed to go with Maria Rosa (who else???). Just before picking her up, I got a phonecall:"My aunt found out... I have to leave tomorrow morning." This was the moment I knew I would probably never see her again. I was heartbroken... and I still am.

"Oh What A Night..."

http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c251/romyhorse/sim%20pics/cupboardlve.jpg

The highlight of my senior year, snogging Jonathan Conti in the stationery cupboard. He was a bit of a nerd, no I lie, he was a total nerd, made my tummy go all funny listening to him talk about neurobiology. If my friends knew I had a crush on him I would have never lived it down, so I had to lure him into the privacy of the cupboard. We did manage a few sneaky meetings but it could never come to anything... I wonder what he's doing now?

http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c251/romyhorse/sim%20pics/cuttingclass.jpg

My two best friends, Alex and Haven, and I cutting class so go see the matinee showing of "Dogtown and Z-Boys". Those were the days...

http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c251/romyhorse/sim%20pics/pillowfight.jpg

The song title says it all. Pillow fights, scary stories, horror movies and popcorn...

http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c251/romyhorse/sim%20pics/crash.jpg

My first broken bone. I broke my collar bone showing off a new move I'd spent 3 weeks learning. I was really pissed, I couldn't skate for 6 weeks as my balance was off.

* Confessional *

My favorite part of my high school years was...

Making such great friends. Alex, Haven and I are still in touch and get together once a year for our own mini-reunion.

Looking back, I realize how much I miss...

Being young and carefree...

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be ...

Not admitting that I liked Jonathan...

because...

Now that I am older and wiser I realise that it doesn't matter how people look or how they dress, it's what's inside that is important.

Nukeya, I'm dropping out as an EJ...Looks like I've got a lot of time in my hands. School's pretty relaxed this month.

Name: Jenna Howard

Family heritage/origin:
Native American/Dutch/Spanish

How long have you attended Simville? Since fourth grade.

Current age:
66

In high school, I was known as…
The quirky artist who seemed to be stuck in another era.

In the last five years, I’ve…
Had 4 one-woman art exhibits, taught in art classes, became grandma to 6.

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was…
Meeting my sweetie, Robin Stone.

Me then...

Says it all: It's my first kiss with my now sweetie, Robin Stone. The garden is pretty romantic, should I say so.

During my graduation, I was voted "Student of the Year" for promoting art and music education in Simville.

http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm171/duderocks/ScreenShot045-1.jpg

The unveiling of the HUGE painting I have worked on since I was 13 (called "Stuck in an Era"). It's on the Simville Art Museum now, along with art from the greats such ad Leandro deVando, Pedro Picassa, and many more. The background is actually PART of the painting.

Not-So-Good

GROUNDED at Prom Night. I had to call Robin to say that I can't go. A 2000 simoleon dress gone to waste. Oh well, 'twas my fault.

My favorite part of my high school years was...Art class! and snooping in the faculty lounge with my friends Joanne and Katie.

Looking back, I realize how much I miss...Everything. Well, except the drama.

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be ...prom night because I wished I didn't get myself in trouble so I didn't miss so much.

Name: Charlotte Wellington

Family heritage/origin: Italian/Sweedish

How long did you attend Simville? I've attended Simville from kindergarten to senior year,

but I did move across town a few times. (Daddy's an architect and is always building us

bigger and better houses!)

Current age: 68

In high school, I was known as… the girl who got pregnant.

In the last five years, I’ve… become a great-grandparent! :)

The most memorable thing that happened to me in high school was… falling in love with

Richard and having our first child, Ella.

*Thanks for joining Brooke_Lynn and Dude! I've added your gals to the list.

*Yes, CisteCaise is correct. All apps and round 1 enteries must be completed by 10pm Central Standard Time (GMT -6). At that point, I will pm the judges with the "ballots" for scoring.

*I am working on getting round 2 up for everyone. I had planned on having it up this morning, but I had a funeral to go to of a very close family friend so this morning's been kind of rough. I will try and get avatars for new entries as well as round 2 up as soon as I can, but since I work 3rd shift and have to sleep at some point (it's already late) it may not be until tomorrow morning. For that I apologize. I will try my best to get them finished today though so you all have something to think about while we await the judges scores.

*I still have one judges spot open for the guys, as well as some EJ spots if anyone is interested. Please pm if you'd like to judge. As I explained in the first post, I won't accept requests to judge that are posted in the thread.

*Good luck everyone!! Go Go GO!

My favorite part of my high school years was being able to hang out with my friends with no stress! (Or at least until my daughter was born!)

Looking back, I realize how much I miss being carefree.

If I could change one thing about my high school years, it would be nothing! because I'm completely satisified with my life & I wouldn't change it for the world!

Here I am with the love of my life, Rich. We met the summer before Sophmore Year and things started moving very quickly.

http://www.geocities.com/qu0tes_x/movinonupj.jpg
My father was an architect and loved to build us new houses whenever he could. We moved into this house in the middle of my Junior Year at Simville. This was one of my favorite houses, we only lived in it for two years though :(

http://www.geocities.com/qu0tes_x/partystarted.jpg
One of the most memorable nights of my life -- Senior Prom! I had so much fun dancing with all my friends and I was so glad I could bring Rich along with me!

This was a very scary time in my life, I didn't know what to do at first. After discussing it with my mom, against my father's wishes, we decided I should keep the baby. Telling him was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.

No, it says in this post.

(The above sample pages are from when Kris participated in the fabulous "Big Brother" competition. They are meant just for examples.)

What’s a reunion without bringing along pictures, photo-albums, and scrapbooks to show off all of your lovely children , pets, nieces, nephews…best friends’ babies, etc. You guessed it. This round is photo-albums and scrapbooks. Maybe you’re still single and have never married. Perhaps it’s not the children (you don’t have) that you cherish and can’t live without, but that fancy Porsche that sits all shiny in your driveway that’s “your baby”.
Sure, for some of the guys this might seem like a “girly” sort of thing to do and they may not even have been that good at that sort of thing. For those whose character is the “artsy” type, maybe your pages would have been covered in small little borders, fancy ribbons, themed cutouts, etc. On the other hand, the jock who might have had no interest whatsoever, might have uneven edges, random things glued here or there, whatever the case may be. Consider these pages as having been made by your Sim rather than by you. For instance, if you would put pink backgrounds and ribbons and flowers on your scrapbook pages, your manly male may not. (The stereotypes given may not be relevant to your particular personality, but used as an example.)

Also, you don’t have to be a professional at “photoshopping” in order to complete these tasks successfully. It allows you a few more options than just the plain paint program but still works mostly the same.)

***************

Task One: “I Do…Cherish You”
For task one you will be creating TWO album or scrapbook pages displaying things or persons that you cherished as an adult. Or…perhaps what you cherished most was going out on a fishing trip with “the guys” or a “girl’s night” out.

• Each page should have at LEAST TWO pictures on it. Though more are acceptable, only TWO are required. You may choose to do more than just two pages, but you are not required.
• Your Sim should be an adult.
• Your Sim should be in each picture and be clearly recognizable. (You are encouraged to use your “classmates” in the pictures as well if they were still your friends during adulthood. Though please be courteous to each other and make sure it’s okay with them before doing so, as your storylines may not be quite the same. You are free to exchange Sims or just make your own to represent someone, but again, please be sure they’re okay with it.)
• Extra decorations (such as buttons/ribbons/cutouts/text/etc) are acceptable, but please remember-what would your Sim have done?
Please include something to “remind” us know what’s going on in your pictures and what was the occassion. This might be a caption on your page, or something written separately.

***************

Task Two: “Rock A Bye Baby”

For task two, you will be creating TWO MORE album or scrapbook pages. It’s up to you how you interpret the title, however. You may choose to show pictures of your children, the children of your friends, your nieces and nephews…etc. Or..you may choose to go with a “Rock –n-Rolling” with your “baby” type thing. You may also choose to do one page each.

Please include something to “remind” us know what’s going on in your pictures and what was the occassion. This might be a caption on your page, or something written separately.

Optional Task: “The One That Got Away”

Ever meet someone that you just KNEW was THE ONE for you, but yet, you did or didn’t do something which caused things to turn sour? Were you apprehensive about buying a car so thought you’d give it a day to think it over, only to go back later and find it had been sold? Tell us about your “one that got away”. It may be a person or thing, but we wanna know. Also, be sure to include a picture ;)

After highschool I... went to Fiesta Tech to study english and ancient languages. I graduated and got a job in the same Simville High School.

In my younger-adult life, I was happiest when... I dated Gianluca Ross. He was my first true love, I've been through everything with him. His calm and romantic personality kept me going on.

If I could have done one thing different back then, I would... not thought of having babies with Gianluca and never called Julia a b*tch.

Crunchy or smooth peanut butter? Smooth! Even with the tragic death of Gianluca I was happy, inherited a lot of money and started my career the way I could only dream. If I compare the smoothness of my life with the smoothness of peanut butter, my young adulthood was VERY smooth.

Nukeya, is it cool if I just do like 4 different pictures since I have lame paint?

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Since this round is about photo-albums/scrapbooks, you should at least have your pictures on some sort of a background as if in a photoalbum.

If you're looking for a free program, try paint.net. It's free to download, easy to use, and works great. It allows you to work in layers and has alot of the same tools as photoshop. It's what I use mostly cause I'm a poor college student :P

Round 2 (With help of Paint.net)
If Nukeya was standing next to me I'd give her/him a bearhug!

Task One: “I Do…Cherish You”
http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg12/portsil28/Contest1.jpg
Story TIME!...Well The one with the football was on my birthday!
My brother somehow got me it!
He's a teenager and also my best friend. The other picture is Megan's picture taking skills of me catching butterflies.
http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg12/portsil28/Contest1Part2.jpg(I couldnt get the last one to be the exact same size as the other one without looking wierd)
Story- [I]It was our first day at our new house and I liked the way the bushes were aranged so I thought it'd be nice to have a family picture.
The other picture was of me and Mac Tree.
We were best buds at school until he moved then I found his parents house number and got a hold of him!

Task Two: “Rock A Bye Baby”
http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg12/portsil28/Contest1Part3.jpg
http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg12/portsil28/Contest1Part4.jpg
Izzy is the light of my life.
She stayed by my side when me and Megan had our misfortune.
She loves me to this day and I love her even more back!

Optional Task: “The One That Got Away”
TBA

Confessional:
After highschool I.....Ummm...Went right to college then got my job by being talked about through my Drafting Teacher to some big shot House Drawing place.

In my younger-adult life, I was happiest when...Megan moved in with me!

If I could have done one thing different back then, I would...Not let Megan get away when she did...I loved her then some bad stuff happened between me and her...

Crunchy or smooth peanut butter? Oooo! I know this answer!....Ahh crap! I know this one....WHAT IS IT?!....Oh! Jelly!

I seem to have lost a lot of points for picture quality which is something I can't control as my graphics card isn't very good. Are we going to be marked on this every round because I spent hours doing my covers and I just can't justify spending the time to do that again for round 2 if I'm going to get low scores for quality.

And from what I can see the reason so many people didn't give reasons for their songs is because the round didn't ask us to.

"I DO CHERISH YOU"
..CLICK THE IMAGE LINK THEN CLICK INNER IMG TO ENLARGE..
http://i29.tinypic.com/3467pts.gif (http://i29.tinypic.com/2j303m0.png)

Confessional:

After highschool I.....went to college for cheering. fell in love with my long time friend Noah Bronston (whom I went to prom with) we got married at the age of 18 (against our parents wishes) in vegas, we have no pictures :( i was diagnosed with an eating disorder (anorexia and bulimia) and I lost about 35 lbs. Luckily in 2006 I went to treatment and gained weight. After college I cheered for the dallas cowboys(for a year) until I became pregnant with my son. Then I became a secretary at a medical office.

In my younger-adult life, I was happiest when...I had my 2 precious babies. Even though I was only 22 at the time, I think I made an excellent mommy. Those 2 are my life.

If I could have done one thing different back then, I would...never have "purged" or thought I was fat. But I'm back to normal now and loving life :)

Crunchy or smooth peanut butter? yummy smooth..with a little bumps along the way

I will try and be more specific when telling the judges to give scores for neatness/quality in the future. As for the issue with the reason for the song, I believe the judge meant reason you chose that picture which was asked. That judge, it seems took points off for all for that particular reason, so I figured that it balanced out between individuals. I realize some of you probably aren't too happy with the scores. Considering that it had been going on 3 days since the round had ended, I figured y'all would want your scores sooner rather than later so I posted what I had rather than wait and question the judges. No one is being eliminated and you still have 3 more rounds, (which I will try to make go a little smoother) to bring up your scores.

I can't speak for the other judges of course, but I did not base any part of my scoring on actual graphics quality. I have been around the contest forum too long to think that people all have equal graphics on their computers, so it never makes my way into judging in any contest.

The first round of scores are always a little rough, but I'm sure all of you will do awesomely next round (as you all did this round too!). So good luck to everyone and remember to have LOTS of fun! :D

I understand how that goes vintage as my video card was cruddy on my old desktop computer. I've always tried to make it a point in these contests to NOT have that factor in so will be sure to make note of things like that to the judges when the time come again to judge.

Well you can't do exactly what I did, but along those lines should be fine.

Is it saying that it is not the proper format? Just go, open the piece of art and choose "save as..." and then change the format under the file's name. I usually use .jpg.

Paint.net has it's own file format (.pdn) which allows you to save your work in layers rather than flattening. I'm guessing that that's the format that yours was saved in. Lenoba's right, just use "save as" and be sure to save them in a different format (generally jpg). Hope that helps!

My mother is one of the two most important people in my life. She has always been there for me, supported me and loved me. The top picture was taken on one of my first ports back home after being away at sea for a few months. Since it's wasteful to have a house when you're in the navy, she always kept my bedroom up for me. The second picture is from Mother's Day. I always always make sure to make it back for her birthday and Mother's Day. Since my dad is gone and I'm an only child, I think it's really important to be there for my mother. I've definitely always been a mama's boy.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y114/paigeyt/Sims/scrapbook02.jpg
The second of the two most important people in my life, my daughter Sèphora. She was born on June 18th, 2013. Her mother is my ex-wife, Fleur. These pictures range from Fleur's pregnancy and after her birth. In the pictures my ex-wife and I seem very happy, because we were. I will never say that that time of my life was a waste. We were in love, then, and it was what gave me Sèphora. We were together for her upbringing, and only divorced recently.

Rock A Bye Baby
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y114/paigeyt/Sims/scrapbook04.jpg
More like rocking with the babes. My navy boat would dock every couple of months. I supposed I used the navy title to my advantage. My buddies and I would always go to bars, drink and pick up the ladies. I was never much of a ladies man in high school, so once I had something for girls to be impressed about, I exploited it. I'm exactly proud of it, but it was who I was. I can't really change it, plus it was fun then. Now, I'm glad I settled down and didn't spend my whole life that way.

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y114/paigeyt/Sims/scrapbook03.jpg
My little baby girl. The love of my life. It must be because I've been around men most of my life, on the Navy ships, that I'm so drawn to the women in my life. My mother and my daughter. I'll definitely admit she was a spoiled girl. But she never grew a spoiled attitude. Even now that she's grown and married, I still like to spoil her every so often.

The One That Got Away
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y114/paigeyt/Sims/GotAway.jpg

If only I had made the shot, I would've won the tourney.

Confessional

After highschool I... joined the Navy. I've always had a love of the ocean, but not the kind of interest you'd need to be an oceanographer or anything like that. I always love to travel, I'm up to go anywhere. One year I was stationed in France. There I met my wife Fleur. After we met I worked hard to stay stationed in France to be with her. Once we found out that Fleur was pregnant, I applied for a desk job and we moved to England, my home country. There we could buy a reasonably sized house with my salary and be close by my mother. Once we moved to England, life became somewhat mundane. Working my desk job and raising Sèphora was about all I did. We would take the occasional vacation. After Sèphora went to college, Fleur and I got a divorce. She moved back to France and I stayed in England. Since Sèphora was old enough to live on her own, she decided to buy an apartment in England, near me and her grandmother. Just a few years back now, she got married.

In my younger-adult life, I was happiest when... I was with other people. I've never been one to be alone. Even if no one's talking, just being around another person works.

If I could have done one thing different back then, I would... have gone a little easier on the partying. Back in the navy, before Fleur, I was a heavy drinker. Back then I was stationed out at sea, and we would port every few months. Every time we made port somewhere, my buddies and I would hit up the nearest bar. I would also say I would've been less...promiscuous. I hate even admitting that was me, but after the partying there was always a lady to take home. I'm glad that wasn't my whole life. I met Fleur and everything settled into where I wanted it to be.

Crunchy or smooth peanut butter? Neither for me. Peanut allergy. I'm more of a butter and jelly sandwich kind of man.

Round Two:

I Do... Cherish You:

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r253/RabidAngel7/R2Cherish1-Family.jpg

When we were raising children, my wife and I brought them around the world because of my job. Now they've grown up and are living on their own, but because of my hectic schedule, I've always cherished my days off and the time I get to spend with them. Now I get to see my grandkids on those days, too!

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r253/RabidAngel7/R2MeAndMyCar.jpg

Of all my material possessions, I really cherish my baby (or, as my wife refers to it, my car). I found her in a junkyard and saw loads of potential in her, so I bought her for a cheap price and took her home. Three years and a lot of sunburns from weekends outside later, I now have my very own hot rod! Isn't she beautiful?

Rock A Bye Baby:

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r253/RabidAngel7/R2WelcomeBaby.jpg

We named our first baby Jasper Dawson Redding. Isn't he adorable? My wife insisted on a studio photoshoot with him, hence the cutesy pictures.

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r253/RabidAngel7/R2BoysWillBeBoys.jpg

My wife forced our first son Jasper into taking piano lessons at age seven so he could become "cultured," as she so kindly puts it. He didn't enjoy them at all, so to make music a bit more fun, I pulled out my old electric guitar and we struck up a band. It seems as though neglecting to play for ten years may dull one's skills (imagine that), so you can imagine my wife's horror at the sound. The Dodos (his idea, not mine... it was the dinosaur phase) only lasted a week before she made us disassemble!

The One That Got Away:

http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r253/RabidAngel7/R2TheOneThatGotAway.jpg

When I was born, my grandmother made me a patchwork teddy bear. I've always cherished it and took it to college with me as a little slice of home. In senior year, my frat brothers organized a bonfire party to burn all of the stuff cluttering up the house that we didn't need. Someone put my bear on the fire (whether by accident or on purpose, I still don't know) and it was practically ashes by the time I got to the party. I was pissed!

Confessional:

After high school, I...:
After high school, I went straight to university to study environmental sciences and biology. I had to work hard to keep my full ride, but I did allow for a lot of boozing, partying, and womanizing. I met my wife Elise while on an internship in Brazil during my third year of college, so she came back to America with me and we got married soon after. It was a hasty courtship, but sometimes things just feel right. It was a bit hard to hang up the old ladykiller shoes, though.

In my young adult life, I was happiest when...:
I was home. University was always a great place, but a lot of my friends stayed behind in Simville rather than going to another city for college and I missed spending time with them and my family. Being away for so long made me homesick, which made coming home all the better.

If I could have done one thing different back then, I would have...:
Visited my parents more. They both passed away in a car accident a few weeks before I graduated college. Looking back, I regret being ungrateful for all of the unconditional support that they gave me. I spent so much time focusing on my career and my social life that I forgot about them along the way. I desperately wish that I hadn't.

Crunchy or smooth peanut butter?:
Surprise me! I love surprises.

Task One: “I Do…Cherish You”

http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj80/CiaoAlora/Sims/Career.jpg
This is my dream job. I was so excited to start my career in an architectural firm. Working along side of such talented designers was a real highlight of my life.

http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj80/CiaoAlora/Sims/House.jpg
This was the first home I bought. Since it was just me and Rebel then, it was quite an achievement; as a single mom to buy a house. We only lived there for two years before we had to relocate for my job though. It was a happy home.

Task Two: “Rock A Bye Baby”

http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj80/CiaoAlora/Sims/Babyrebel.jpg
My little Rebel Roo... so tiny! They sure do grow up fast!

http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj80/CiaoAlora/Sims/Rebel.jpg
This is Rebel when she was a bit older, she always would bother me about her dad not being around, so one day I took her to the nearby park for some manly pursuits. Went fishing in the pond; all I caught was a cold but she actually caught a few old boots!

Optional Task: “The One That Got Away”

http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj80/CiaoAlora/Sims/Theonethatgotaway.jpg
This is Rebel's father. We only had a fling during a particularly hot summer, he doesn't even know about Rebel because he left town at the end of the summer. I never was able to find him again...

Confessional:

After highschool I... Spent five tedious years in college to get my degree in architectural drafting. It was only worth it because of how passionate I am about design.

In my younger-adult life, I was happiest when...my friends and I would do a night out on the town after working all day. Those were the days... and then I had my daughter Rebel, she always brings me joy, but she sure curtailed my party days!

If I could have done one thing different back then, I would... have taken a year off to just travel around the world and experience all the different cultures from my own. An experience like that would have had a significant impact on my career as well, employers in my field love to hire people with international knowledge. I really didn't need to dive right into college I suppose.

Crunchy or smooth peanut butter? Crunchy, for sure, I like that stuff to have a nice meaty texture. It keeps my mouth busy! I am all about the sensory delight.

ROUND 2

"I DO... CHERISH YOU"
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc50/tlawblique36/Georgina/fxmarraige1.jpg
I have always been in love with love and as an adult it was no different. I've said my fair share of I do's. My first husband I met at a night club one wild night in Sim City(saved the card for posterity :)). I thought it was love at first sight and how lucky I was to find the man of my dreams so quickly. It was labor day and I was twenty-three therefore intoxicated. Unlike my past pursuits, however, he agreed to marry me and we were joined by a pirate at a twenty-four hour chapel that very same night. Fast forward a year and a half later and we got a divorce. It should have been over sooner but love is blind.

http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc50/tlawblique36/Georgina/fxmarraige2.jpg
I was twenty-eight when I met my second future ex-husband. I'd finally settled in a career as a legal secretary and thought of myself, finally, as a grown up. He was fifteen years older than I was and we dated for two years before he popped the question. I said yes, then I do, then I don't ten years later. Love was blind for longer this time.

"ROCK A BYE BABY"
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2169/2570930119_d3b31ae878_o.jpg
I still keep the picture of the baby I lost in my scrapbook along with a picture of the bear my grandmother had made for her (or him). For quite a while I would get depressed at the thought of the child I lost but after a while I started to channel all my energy into my baking. I'd collect recipes and place them next to the pictures. They're both my babies.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3125/2570929895_566139eb11_o.jpg
After my second divorce I put all my energy into opening my very own bakery. It was like giving birth to my very first child. Just a bunch of recipes turned into something greater. I was so proud when I printed my first set of business cards that I started sneaking them into mailboxes in the neighbourhood. Later on I got an ad in the Sim city yellow pages. I ripped it out and saved it.

"THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY"
http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc50/tlawblique36/Georgina/gigiwanted.jpg
The only thing that got away from me is my waistline. I look back at pictures of me in my twenties and I wonder where it all went. I'm over it now but for a while there it was getting to be pretty depressing. Those pastries did me in. :)

CONFESSIONS
After highschool I...
Went to community college and took some questionable jobs to pay my way through as the high school grades weren't so good. I didn't finish the first time around but I went back and got certified as a legal secretary.

In my younger-adult life, I was happiest when...
I was in a new relationship. New romances always get me excited and I had alot of those.

If I could have done one thing different back then...
I would have thought through that first marraige. I learned my lessons young, now I know not to say I do after a cosmo filled night.

Crunchy or smooth peanut butter?
Crunchy. Like life, its more interesting when there are a couple bumps thrown in.

Task One: “I Do…Cherish You”
http://www.geocities.com/qu0tes_x/rich.jpg http://www.geocities.com/qu0tes_x/friend.jpg

Page One This is me and Rich. We were married shortly after I have birth to Ella. We got a candid photo snapped of us while we were on our honeymoon! The last photo was a family photo taken for Easter one year. I think Ella was about 9 and Whitney was 8 at the time of the photo.

Page Two Here I am with my best friends since 2nd grade, Kayla. She moved in across the street from our family when we lived on Crestview Street. We've been inseparable ever since! One of my favorite things that we do is hangout at the pool. It is such a relaxing experience. But we also have a blast when we go out and par-tay!

Task Two: “Rock A Bye Baby”
http://www.geocities.com/qu0tes_x/ella.jpg http://www.geocities.com/qu0tes_x/whitney.jpg

Page One My first born, Ella. I had Ella a few months before I turned 18. It was a big suprise! The first picture is Ella going to her Senior Prom and I can't remember for the life of me what that boy's name was! The second photo is a quick snapshot Rich took of me holding Ella shortly after Whitney was born. Ella loved to help me in the kitchen and she was always by my side when I prepared meals.

Page Two I had Whitney when I was 19 years old. I don't know what me and Rich were thinking, having two young kids when we were practically babies ourselves. Whitney loved playing computer games, it was sometimes hard to drag her away from them! Whitney attended her Senior Prom with her now-hubby, Austin.

Optional Task: “The One That Got Away”
http://www.geocities.com/qu0tes_x/acceptance.jpg

I got this letter in the mail a few months before I was to give birth to Ella. To this day, I still wish I would have given University a chance. At the time, it just didn't seem like an option.

Confessional:

After highschool I... got married to Rich Webster. Unfortunately I never went to University, due to
the fact that I was a new mommy and couldn't bear to leave Ella in the care of someone else. Shorty
after Ella I had my second daughter, Whitney. They are both the loves of my life!

In my younger-adult life, I was happiest when... my family spent time together. In the beginning
it seemed like Rich was hardly around, since he was so busy going to University and working to support
our little family. My favorite time was on the weekends when we would go to the park together as a family.

If I could have done one thing different back then, I would... have gone to University. Looking back on
it now, I really do wish I have gone. I was so disappointed when I got into my first choice school, SimCity
University @ Newport Harbor, and was unable to attend.

Crunchy or smooth peanut butter? Definitely smooth, and with bananas!

Surprised to see the artistry in my scrapbook, guys? I know I wasn't this arty in high school, but I really came into my own when I owned my own business. Patricia, my best friend, was the brains of our business (she took care of accounting, ordering, that sort of thing) and I ended up being the face and energy of the thing (designing ads, doing the PR, writing the ad copy, etc). See the postcard ad of Patricia looking super hot by a board? That was my idea, folks!

Owning and running Second Reef was a total labor of love. Patricia and I literally lived in the building, since we converted the upstairs into an apartment. The shop was exceptionally dear to me and I poured a lot of energy into it, truly cherishing it and Twikki Island. That's why I ended up being named Businessman of the Month for April '07.

http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t211/sbconnol/SHCR-Finale/Round2-baby-left2.jpg

Since I didn't ever have any children of my own, I was very attached to my sister Rebekah's daughter Junie. When Rebekah and Junie came out to Twikki to visit me one summer after Junie finished first grade, I made it my personal goal to help Junie conquer her fear of the water and teach her how to swim. After several weeks of practice, she finally gained the confidence in the water to go swimming.

She sent me the nicest card and picture when she got back home, which I tucked away in my personal album so as not to lose it. Years later Junie and her high school swimming team won First Place in their Regional Meet.

Optional Task: “The One That Got Away”
http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t211/sbconnol/SHCR-Finale/Round2-gotaway-left.jpghttp://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t211/sbconnol/SHCR-Finale/Round2-gotaway-right.jpg

I took a vacation one summer to Sim York and while I was walking back to the Landgrabb Hotel I heard some muffled sobs coming from any alleyway. When I looked around the corner I saw a young woman being mugged by a man with a gun! My heart raced and I ran at full speed towards the man, knocking the gun out of his hand; I grappled him and the two of us fought for several minutes while the woman looked on horrified. The jerk elbowed me in the throat, giving him the chance to break away and tear out of the alley in a rush. I ran after him, but flip-flops are not the most practical shoe for a footchase. Luckily the woman was unharmed and had only lost some cash. Then I escorted her back to her apartment safely.

When I gave a description of the thief to the police, we all agreed that the "uniform" of burglars and thieves here in New Simland make identification and eventual apprehension pretty difficult. I don't know if they ever caught that guy.

Confessional:

After highschool I...
Ended up going to La Fiesta Tech for my Associates Degree in Business Management. After that was over, I got my SCUBA instructor certification and got a decent job as a private instructor. It wasn't until '06 that I was finally able to accumulate enough money to go into business with my best friend Patricia. We took a big risk, moving off the mainland to the Twikki Island, but it was totally worth it!

Our shop was a hit and we both got involved in environmental activism while living there. We entertained a brief romance, but when the relationship went south, so did our business. We sold Second Reef and went our separate ways. I ran my own tour business on the island, doing fairly well for myself until Hurricane Brandi ravaged the island in '18. The tourist market plummeted and I had to seek employment elsewhere as a travel writer for Gilscarbo Global Guides.

My niche was writing about the best beaches, surf spots, snorkeling, and SCUBA locations around the world. If you name a beach, I've most likely been there, swam/surfed that. It was an awesome experience and I learned a buttload about other places, customs, and foods.

In my younger-adult life, I was happiest when...
I was out alone near the reef. It was so serene and peaceful, really giving a person a sense of perspective, you know? After a couple of hours out there, I was recharged enough to hit the waves on my board or head back to the shop and help the customers.

If I could have done one thing different back then, I would...
Dude, that's a pretty tough question! I suppose I would have stuck around Twikki longer after the hurricane and done more to help the area recover after the storm. I do feel some guilt about that.

Crunchy or smooth peanut butter?
Crunchy all the way! It works best in my favorite Thai Peanut Red Curry Sauce; gotta love Thai food, man!
