I'm new to using SimPE and I have a question about changing a male hair mesh to a female. It started when I was looking for a hair mesh from Louis (simcribbling) it was for a female but with the site no longer available I started searching around and found a post that said that all the user did was go into SimPE for the recolors not the mesh and change the age from male to female. For the life of me I have no idea how to do this.

This is the exact post: For those of you who want the female version, just open each hair color file (not the mesh) in SimPE and change the age to female and they will work perfectly on female Sims. That is what I did and they fit just fine. There's a tutorial on how to do it in this site.

Can anyone walk me through this please?

Thanks

Well, what they are saying is that you open up the hair recolor in SimPE and look for the Property Set files. In there is a line of code for the gender. You change the 2 (male) to a 1 (female). However, that really shouldn't work on hair because their scalps are different sizes and things just won't line up perfectly at the neck. Now if this is a big poofy long lion-mane of a hair-do you won't notice the crack in the neck, but for most other hair-dos you do so we don't. Did that make sense? ;) Best of luck!
