View Full Version : Missing University items after installing OFB

Hello all :bunny:

I just recently bought the Open for Business expansion pack and installed it as instructed. When I loaded the game up, however, I noticed some items from the University EP missing and a few from the base game as well!

All of the female hairstyles from the University EP are missing
Some of the walls in build mode that came with the base game are missing

Some items in Buy Mode from University will show up fine as thumbnails, but when you place them on the lot, they're invisible (though you can place them and you'll still be charged for it). The same thing goes to the multi story doors that came with the EP.

My game loads and runs fine, otherwise, no crashes or anything. I don't have any hacks installed on my game, save for one teleporter I downloaded from simlogical (though, thus far, it's never caused any problems for my game, even with the new EP installed).

I haven't downloaded anything after installing OFB, at least nothing major like hacks.

I've searched through threads but I haven't found anything like this :c Same thing for the FAQs, haven't found anything that would address this.

If anyone has any ideas to what this might be or what's causing it, or what steps to take to solve this problem, please let me know >w< It's not a major issue, but it does make the game feel incomplete.

In order to better solve your problem, please go through the following as listed below:

General - Do the Game Problem FAQ
You appear to have not gone through our main Game Help:Game Problem FAQ. Please go through and do the steps on this FAQ, including any others that it links to (for example the Game Help:Game Problem-Problem Custom Content FAQ).

Usually, in the vast majority of cases, actually going through and doing the steps (doing, not just reading) fixes issues - sometimes you may be asked to remove custom content, or to patch - please rest assured that all of our FAQs have been tested by our staff and volunteers and we wouldn't suggest you do something unless it's been known to fix particular issues.

I know it seems a bit off in terms of subject matter, but this FAQ probably will fix - or at least help identify the cause of - your issue.

On occasion you might be asked to do a long FAQ - please make sure you do all the steps and don't just skip over them. You'll often find that these long FAQs have all the details you need. If nothing in the above FAQs fixes your problem you may post again detailing exactly which you have done and which steps failed.

Ah! Thank you so much >w< I didn't understand/catch that bit on patching, so I'll definitely try that!

Now I feel a bit silly XD!
