My sim has a request to determine a gender. I am at the house but don't have the option to do this. How do I determine the gender?

I think you have to go to the hospital and get medical advice. I have no first hand experience on the subject thou.

Have a doctor in the family -- it's the only way I've ever really noticed to fulfill the wish, but going to the hospital may work too.

going to hospital didnt work for me, i think it has to be a close friend doc or one in the family n u get the option to ask

I had to do the friendly option then it allowed me to tell her baby gender?

You need a playable sim level 7 or higher in the medical career. That sim will be able to find "Determine Gender of Baby" under Friendly interactions.
