I have a question regarding the building of houses for upload. I have read in several places that creators will use certain cheats when they build, depending on what they are trying to do. Can this effect the playability of a house when someone else downloads and installs it?

I have a completely empty n-hood, maxis, that I have placed several houses that I downloaded. I made sure I had all meshes, EP's, etc that each one required. I was using Faith and Herbert Goodie, and placed them in 2 different houses.

The first house, they would walk out the back door and all the way around the house to go up the stairs to the 2nd floor. they also would not go to the fridge or use the dishwasher. They would not go into the lower bedroom to put a baby in the crib, they would go all the way upstairs. Ok, thinking I could maybe do a little minor construction, I found that the house would not let me delete the walls or floor in the part of the house in question.Even using the burninator, wouldn't do it.
So, moved them into another house, this one appeared fine, and they even went upstairs to put the baby to bed. After they came back down, no matter what I did, they couldn't go back up the stairs. They would stand at the bottom, yelling. When I tried to delete the stairs and do some minor construction to see if I could help it. Wouldn't let me delete it.

These houses are unfurnished, and when I was furnishing it, used only items I used often and knew were safe. No mods were used.

Cheats could affect playability if the house wasn't play-tested before upload. Certain things should not be placed with moveobjects on like stairs. Appliances need 2 empty tiles behind them to be used while sinks do not, so you have to be careful with galley kitchens. Crazy routes I usually chalk up to poor EA path-finding. Not being able to delete walls is a bad thing. Do you know if Lot Adjuster was used? I would love to look at the lots in question, I am fond of puzzles. Can you PM me with the links?

Paths can be odd for the Sims games. There's a variety of reasons Sims uses different paths and they don't always make sense. We can help you with broken games but if you are having problems with particular cc then you need to refer to the creator for support. We can't provide support for third party content.
