I hope I have this in the right place. I was trying to clone the active plants in the game. Not the right term but its what I call the ones that are in the earth that sway about. I tried the hydrangea and the heather just to recolour them and give more options.

Firstly I couldn't open them at all. Downloaded the nes s3oc 10th October version. I can get the files out but there is no .dds to be able to recolour. Does this mean I would have to use something else (like milkshape) just to recolour and give more in game colour options?

They are most likely speedtree files, a proprietary file format made by these guys:

That's why they're not already recolourable, they're not made the same way as EA's other CAStable meshes. :)

I see that now. I just had a look at that programme and it's thousands of £££'s. So much for EA making it easier for us to make content for the game. Aw well, that's that then eh?
