Can't find custom Sims

I downloaded a couple custom sims and I'm not sure where to find them in my game. Help?

I`ve downloaded VERY FEW custom Sims, mostly because I wasn`t interested in Sims that were so heavily covered in CC modifications that I couldn`t trust them to breed true, but also partly because I had no idea how to find them in-game either. I do have a few, though, so I too am interested in an answer to this question.

Once installed, custom Sims can be located in the premade Sims in CAS for their gender and age group. When in CAS, generate a Sim of the right gender and age, then click on the icon shaped like six blob people to choose a premade Sim.

Thank you. I looked and they aren't there. I downloaded them into the "Downloads" folder and then into the "savedsims" folder b/c they weren't showing up and I still don't see them. :( I'm not sure what to do now.

If they are young adult sims, then they will only show up in a University neighborhood CAS.

Assuming these are TS2 Sims (and not TS3), have you properly extracted and installed them? Most TS2 custom Sims come packaged in Sims2Packs, and need to be installed using the game's installer or (preferred method) the SimsPack Clean Installer. If they are TS3 Sims, you are either posting in the wrong forum or you need to know that TS3 content is not compatible with TS2.
