custom content und sims 3 world adventure add on not working

hi,

i was so looking forward to the add on. now i can't use my custom content anymore. the sims3package files seem to work. but the downloaded package files installed with mods and the resource.cfg file crash the game.

i'm using mac leopard as system.

i tried to put mods and resource.cfg in the sims 3 or sims 3 adventurer folder, but with both configurations it doesn't work.

when i start the game, the launcher displays. then i press the play button and the game seems to start. the sims 3 logo appears on the bloo screen, then it changes to fullscreen with the black background and the mouse finger. then nothing more happens. it just stays that way. i waited 5 minutes to see, if it just takes longer, but still nothing happens.

what's wrong. how can i still install the custom content? please help!

I have the same problem as you. In my case it didn't even work prior to installing WA. I'm stuck, please help me!

I'm on a brand new iMac 21,5" with Snow Leopard and have 1.4 installed prior to making the upgrade to WA. No more patches are available right now.

In order to better solve your problem, please go through the following as listed below:

Sims 3 - WA/patch 1.6 is crashing/not loading/broken/purple
World Adventures and patch 1.6 are causing some issues - namely lots turning into blue squares and saving triggering an Error 16. If you have some other issue...

Remove all your custom content from Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages.
Most mods will not yet be compatible with patch 1.6 or WA. Until the creator uploads an updated version, any hacks cannot be used with patch 1.6 or WA.

Lots of custom content isn't compatible with WA or with the patch. Please test if your game works without CC; if it does, you're just going to have to be patient and wait for the CC to be updated.

On occasion you might be asked to do a long FAQ - please make sure you do all the steps and don't just skip over them. You'll often find that these long FAQs have all the details you need. If nothing in the above FAQs fixes your problem you may post again detailing exactly which you have done and which steps failed.
