s3oc is not working for me. I am using the "new clone/legacy" command in the file section to get to the path of my sims 3 directory. The problem is, every time i get to it, s3oc will say it is accessing it, but a little bit later it crashes on me!

Can anyone help me with this?

You'd be better off seeking s3oc help in the s3pi forum (http://www.modthesims.info/forumdisplay.php?f=604); which I think a mod might either lock or move this thread, anyway, so wait awhile before posting there and risking a duplicate thread.

In order to help, we need to know
- s3oc version
- game version
- do you have WA?

Allow me to clarify.

1: I have vista.
2: i do NOT have world adventures, that did not cause the problem.
3: I am using the newest s3oc version easy installer download.
4:i have sims 3 version 1.7.9.002001

If anyone can help me now because of this new info, that would be great.

EDIT: i read the thread on trouble with s3oc, and apparently it may have something to do with my recent patch to 1.7.9.002001 . They are supposedly fixing it.

I have a screen shot that shows exactly what it looks like when it fails.

if you want this, just ask for it. it may help with my problem.

"newest" is a meaningless number for s3oc version. What actual version are you using?

i apologize pljones, i shouldve been more descriptive on my version.

i am using s3oc 0911-01-1539 version.

s3oc isn't working 100% reliably with 1.7.9 or WA, and that version you have is definitely not suited to a patched game. You need the test version that is not yet in the sticky thread.

Thanks Inge.

Just a quick question, would it be easier if i just uninstalled and reinstalled my game and then didnt dl any patches?

I am not sure what goal you're trying to achieve? You could just play, and wait for things to be updated before you create new stuff. If you are more interested in creating, then yes reinstall and don't patch.
