I REALLY want to build this type of attic. I downloaded the decor already, but how do you make the ceiling tiles(?) slope? I tried using the cheat, but the tiles went nuts.

Thank you for any help!

I'm unsure if there's any new approach for sloped ceiling tiles in TS2, but the way I know is by means of doubly-sided floor tile and boolean constrainfloorelevation false cheat.
jg's light-based ceiling or the in-game ceiling since TS2 EP8 AL are not inclinable.
However, mesh-based inclined roof as buy-mode object is possible.

Your link requires registration, so it isn't particularly helpful. Perhaps a picture?

Apparently, the roof has some shadow ramp, if the picture wasn't photoshoped, it's likiely to be some object-based custom content that can be lit for the in-room lighting system.
But just wonder if this picture depicts TS2 or TS3.

It's the Sims 2. It probably is photoshopped. Damn. Well, thank you anyway :)

May just keep in mind, object-based custom contents can do such effect as seen jgwhiteus's buy-mode-object-based Visible Ceiling Tiles Version 3.0.

If someone have or may make such, it's still possible in TS2.

Further down the page (for those who can't access SimsCave), it does look as though the beams are a single object. With recolours in different woods. Not sure if that's what was meant by the OP already downloading "the decor".

I know this thread has lain quiet for a while, but this question comes up a lot around and about, and I've been gleaning the answers because it bugs me too.
The issue has a few different parts and a few different answers. The beams on the ceiling are the easy part, because a few sets of them have been made (can't find the links now: I'll edit when I do find them). The actual ceiling is the tough part, depending on your game configuration. With earlier configurations I think you can simply go right under the roof, and it's visible from the inside. You can't get that to show if you have (is it apartment life?) ingame ceilings -- you just get sky if you try.
A lot of people who are simply setting up pictures and don't care about the whole house have been using the attic slants sets available from Impish Parody at Black Pearl, or from Evanesco at Garden of Shadows, or from I forget which Italian site. They are just decorative objects, either wall hangings or sculptures, that give the appearance of sloped ceilings: but they don't affect the structure of the house, and depending on the size of the house, may be impossible to use without wrecking the outside of it (I tried).
I hadn't thought of double-sided floors and constrainfloorelevation false, but that really seems like the most robust solution, thanks!
