Recolouring Sims 2 Store stuff?

I'm trying to recolour a hair that I downloaded from The Sims 2 Store. Of course, it doesn't show up in Body Shop. :P

Does anyone know where the downloader stuck the package file? Surely there must be one, or the hair wouldn't display at all! Or would it? :blink:

Definitely out of my league with anything related to bodyshop, or even store stuff for that matter.

I'm guessing you downloaded from like the download manager or something? I've read bits-n-pieces about a folder for Store or EP99. I think that folder might be in the base game folder, but I'm not really sure. Maybe try searching in your Program Files/EA games for a store folder?

Well, I found the files in SimPE and I could alter the textures and reimport them there, I guess, but it's a pain not having them show up in Body Shop (for preview purposes).

And trying to find the mesh... well, that's just about impossible. The standard extraction method doesn't work. I have no idea how the recolours are linked to the meshes in this case! It's certainly nothing to do with the file name...

Why does EA have to make things so difficult? :(
