Hi all,

I recently dloaded Ambitions yesterday - digital download - and everytime I load up the game, main loading sequence(with the scroll on the bottom) images appear to be missing, and the text is garbled.

I noticed in-game that EVERYTHING Ambition related(text, bubbles) is not there. I can preview music in the options from new stations, but can't see the text. The help bubbles are also all transparent.

I loaded WA, and it works perfectly. I removed all mods and CC, and renamed my /My Documents/ sims folder so it creates a new one on load.

I also redownloaded 3 times and installed about 6 times.

So, no mods, no cc, 'clean slate', ALL patches installed, other versions work...

Help?

Are all the games fully patched?
What do the 4 icons in Launcher showing? Post all the version numbers here. Or 3 if you don't have HELS.

Are the previous pre-1.12 patch framework components still in Program Files paths?

Everything patched 100%. Where are the patch framework components?

In order to better solve your problem, please go through the following as listed below:

Sims 3 - Uninstall
This Game_Help:TS3_Uninstall link has the step-by-step instructions to guide you through uninstalling The Sims 3, and its packs (EP/SP).

If you're reinstalling because you're reverting to an older patch, or just do not want to use the Launcher/EADM to patch, read this FAQ Game_Help:TS3_Patching once through before patching and then follow the guide.

Pre-patch1.12 framework components are in Program files path. Instructions in Game_Help:Remove_Framework_Manual.
If you have a 32-bit Operating System, ignore the (x86) bits.

How did you patch? Via Launcher (with an updated EADM?) or direct download?
And how did you do the various uninstalls? Cleared registry and leftover folders?

In what order was the reinstall done?

BG -> patch 1.12 from 1.0 -> WA -> patch 2.7 from 2.0 -> AMB
[final game versions of 1.12 / 2.7 / 4.0]

or

BG -> (patch 1.5 from 1.0 by WA) + WA -> (patch 1.12 from 1.5 by AMB) + AMB
[final game versions of 1.12 / 2.0 / 4.0]

or some other way?
This is why you need to verify gameversions, if not via Launcher, then open up the skuversion.txt in \Game\Bin individually.

On occasion you might be asked to do a long FAQ - please make sure you do all the steps and don't just skip over them. You'll often find that these long FAQs have all the details you need. If nothing in the above FAQs fixes your problem you may post again detailing exactly which you have done and which steps failed.
