Loading Error - Game Freezes - FIXED!

Hi,

I've just installed Ambitions and gave the game a quick play before moving over my mods. It worked fine, so I decided to try out some mods. I followed the instructions on the forum, including creating a new resource.cfg file, but for some reason now the game just freezes when I try to load the town.

Anyone have this same problem and know how to fix it? I have tried removing all my mods from the folder but it hasn't worked. I am assuming it is the mods that caused the problem, since it was working fine before.

I've had something similar to that, but mine always goes really slow until a quarter then shoots up. It does sort of stick to the beginning of the bar for a while. How long do you wait?

I waited over an hour and it didn't do anything, then I restarted and tried loading a brand new town to see if it was an issue with a saved game. That one did the same, then like you said, it shot up to about a third of the way through the bar, then the whole thing crashed totally.

EDIT: So I have used a trial-and-error method on my mods and discovered it's the resource.cfg file causing problems, which is odd as I got the file from the wiki on this site. Anyone else had an issue with it?

2nd EDIT: All fixed! If anyone else comes across the same issue please message me and I'll try to help you sort it out.

Editing your post to share the solution is better than to repeatedly answer 100s of PMs, in my opinion.
But if you're willing to do that, more power to you! :up:

All the pertinent info are in the FAQs and at least 2 pages worth of closed threads, anyway. ;)
