the concept is great but i think you should all more objectives to make it more interesting...maybe more rules like the parent must teach all kids to study, teach all toddlers their skills etc... up to you, just suggesting!

Interesting challenge, but I have a few questions.

First, I'm curious why no clothes from EPs/SPs? The clothes don't do anything other than change the look of the sims, so clothes should have no effect on the actual challenge itself.

Second, if the family only starts with 100 simolens, they'd never be able to buy a house or rent an apartment in the first place... And if you mean 100 after moving in somewhere, what's to stop someone from buying a huge lot with a huge house full of items to begin with?

Would you mind if I posted an updated "re-make" of this challenge with a few minor details??

An easy challenge, but I don't like trying to keep score.

I have an idea for an improvement of this challenge.

*sticks Sims disk in CD player* Here goes!

Alright. I'm kicking out the rule that says you can't propose, that rule's just weird...but here's the rules.

NIGHTLIFE AND UNI REQUIRED. Yes, those are the two EPs I have...how'd you guess?

Go to CAS and make one adult, one teen, two children, and two toddlers. Choose whatever aspiration for the teen and adult. Make the adult parent to all of them.

Get a house, furnish it with the cheapest stuff. Cheapest beds, cheapest stoves, etc. If you need to use kaching or motherlode in order to afford the house and stuff (even with cheap stuff it can be expensive), do so as much as you want...but USE ONLY THE CHEAPEST STUFF. Once that's done, use familyfunds to bring money down to 100. After this point, the only cheats you may use is an occasional maxmotives, and USING MAXMOTIVES WILL DEPLETE YOUR SCORE. Yes, your score can enter the negatives. This is why you don't use maxmotives often.

Instantly, the second you get in, get the adult sim a job. Any of the newspaper's jobs. Yup, newspaper-even if you did get a computer, no using it! No quitting the job, either.

You can go to community lots, but not in the main neighbourhood, business district (if you have one), or any custom downtowns. You can only go to community lots in the premade Downtown, and only ones that come with it-no making your own lots or anything.

You must stay a Sim. No changing to other forms, those things are just gamebreakers.

Toddlers must learn at least one toddler skill each. Bonuses are given for teaching more.

The challenge is over when the toddlers make it to college. Good luck!

Growing up well: +2000
Growing up badly: -1000
Child has red aspiration: -500
A+ report card: +500
D report card: -1000
Engaged: +2000
Married: +5000
Social Worker: LOSE THE CHALLENGE!
Child goes to college: +500
Child goes on academic probation: -1000
Child fails/drops out of college: -2000
Maxmotives: -250
Make a friend: +500
Make a best friend: +1000
Toddler learns two toddler skills: +250
Toddler learns three toddler skills: +1000
Child born/adopted: +500

Great challenge concept... I will have to try it if I ever finish the legacy I'm working on. I'm weird like that... I can never have more than one challenge going at a time.

My family was the Chasms. Brittany was the mother, Samantha the teen daughter, and Cole and Kylie were the children. The toddlers are Kyle and a girl I can't remember the name of. For a family with only Maxis-made clothing and hair, they're all very pretty. The toddlers are halfway to childhood and because I couldn't afford skilling toys they spend all their time playing in the toilet when out of the crib. Cole and Kylie are very easy to get to platinum, they're great friends and spend all their time playing either together or with school friends Chloe and Whatshername with the brown hair that everyone but me hates.
