Need opinions for my new sim and cc i need.

Hello, i'm back again with a new sim and this time i will focus totally on this and nothing other.

Take a look at this sim.

Knowing that i have an issue with making unique sim faces i've made this pic to show that her face is not a maxis default face but it is sculpted and has the result of the sim i want to make.She is a fantastical sim of a story i will be making in movie and i want to make her perfect.
So the main help i need is with finding a suitable clothmesh and hairmesh.I love this rose mesh but it is pay...I need a dress that has the same style..
I love the hairmesh too, but i can't remember where i got it;then it needs editing cause i dont like the top of the hair.
But please tell me your observations about her face too. She must be the ''ghost'' woman sim.

To be honest, her face doesn't look that sculpted. I mean, I can see a few differences: nose is upturned a little, lips are enlarged a little, eyes widened a little. I would work on making her a little more unique if you really wanted to.

I can see the differences, but it could use some more work.

I suggest you check out some of Vera Marina's other Sims (http://www.modthesims.info/browse.php?f=204&showType=1&gs=0&showAll=1&u=473927), they are very unique and could be a great inspiration. When I had trouble creating unique Sims, I looked some of hers, and it helped me realizing which facial features to tweak when trying to make a unique yet beautiful Sim.

i've did this...many times.The problem is that the style of this face i've made and the characteristics are what make me see a woman beautiful.In this video i am making i want her face to be very inspirating to me..Heaven i don't agree.You think that i just took the maxis face and with three clicks i had this?I've been sculpting her face for hours.

Even if you have been, it doesn't look like it. And we have been through this before. It doesn't matter if you think she is pretty, its about the mods saying that she is unique. So if you are not willing to change her, fine, just don;t expect her to get accepted. My question is, if you have no intention of listening to what we have said, and two of us have created sims, then why are you posting here?

I have suggested this before and I will keep saying it. Base you sim on a really person, it makes it easier to sculpt. And, again, by NO CC, it means skin. You sims looks a bit too maxis-y with CC skin, I'm guessing she looks much more maxis-y with maxis skin. So, no custom skin. If you have defaults, remove them for this screenshot. If you were to remove the labels from the pictures, I would not be able to tell you which one is Maxis and which in unique. That means she needs much more work. :)

@Annita: are you actually planning to submit this sim at all, or are you just asking for suggestions on how to tweak it so you can make your movie? Because the other posters are right: if you want to see it uploaded, it needs to be *very* unique. As in, the work of days/weeks, not hours.
You have to remember, Sims2 has been out for over four years now and a "pretty" sim is not going to be impressive on its own. Considering all the mods and tutorials out there, an attractive sim is simply not very difficult to make, especially if you have replacement face templates, skins, make-up, etc.

I have to agree with Vampy. I know you think she's pretty, but as you have already learned, "pretty" is just not enough. If you think she's perfect just the way she is, you don't really need our help, do you :)

I like the idea, she looks like she might be interesting...But, her "uniqueness" does need more work. The main problem is the same as before, you have a certain image in your mind that is very hard for you to let go of. And for her to get accepted, you need to step away from that image a little.

To be honest I can't see a huge difference between the maxis face and the face you made. Can you give us a picture of her without any cc at all.

She may look good, but that is only because of the cc you have added, which is something anyone can do. If you really want a sim to stand out try making your own cc for it. And you definitely need to work on the face sculpt to make her more original.

However if you like this sim the way it is and you are not interested in uploading it then leave it as it is.

So, again, since you have to work on structure, I wouldn't worry about content like hair and clothes just yet. But if you do not intend to upload her and just want suggestions for you movie (which I doubt because you posted here and because you are concerned about pay items), but as far as a ghost sim goes, I would go with light colors and airy clothing, not the heavy hair and bright clothes, just sayin. Also, since I am just sayin, ghost don't often have fangs. But thats just my opinion.

Annita, I am sorry if I offended you by what I said. I did not mean, in any way, that you only made "three clicks". However, I DID mean that the sculpting you did do, no matter how much work it took, isn't a big enough improvement over a maxis face. Look at your pictures; from the front view, nose down (ignoring the lips) her jaw, chin, everything looks practically the same. I agree with Vampy as well; she does not look like a ghost, more like a vampire geisha. Still very pretty, but ghosty is more flowing clothes. You wanted feedback and if you're not willing to take constructive criticism when you specifically want the help, please don't post.

Guys, listen.I have no real intention to upload her here.I am working on my video now and i will leave her like she is.If i ever feel like having a sim accepted here i will work the way you suggest me an you do follow.
But at the moment i want to make my video and i need unique hair and dress mesh.That rosedress is perfect and i got permission from rose to recolor it for personal use and in my video.So, i need some hair with a royal style like those i have in the pic.Sorry if it is not right to make a thread here for a sim that i want for myself..
I don't know if it is prohibited or not but i agree with you her face is not si unique as a human though it's pretty.

If you have no intention of uploading her, then here is WRONG place to go hair hunting, but if you are looking to improve her, just as a sim, then you should make it clear in your first post, which actually makes it very clear that you intend to upload her, by both asking if she is unique and that she is wearing pay content, so yea, the biggest problem is that you didn't inform anyone. It wasted a bunch of time for all of us to respond. If you don't plan to upload, then I'm pretty sure that you are not allowed to post here.

So, since you are NOT uploading her, how about some picture or a description on how you want your ghost to look. Like, in your story, if she died by drowning, then maybe she should have subtle blue or green undertone or if she was poisoned black or brown, etc. So give us an idea of who she is, what nationality, how she died, if she is an angry or peaceful spirit, stuff like that.

Actually, if you're not intending on uploading her here, then Creator Feedback is not the place to post. If you've got at least 1 upload you can make a journal and post pretty much whatever there, but Creator Feedback is for helping creators work on their creations for MTS upload - if they aren't interested in uploading it to MTS, it doesn't belong here.

I assume you made this thread with intentions of uploading her, but changed your mind along the way. Anyway, I still think she'd make a nice and unique sim worth uploading, if you would keep working on her.

Misty blue you're right.To be honest at first i was thinking of uploading her here but after listening that i'll have to change her i changed up my mind too.You see, it would be ridiculus to have the sim the way it is now in the vid and much more improved in the upload.

She doesn't have to lose the style, just use your imagination and improve her. She's pretty, but all of her features need tweaking to differ from the Maxis face. And as Vampy already said, work on just one project at a time :)

The fact that she doesn't look like the Maxis face with a custom skin on doesn't really make her unique, that's the whole point of working on her without any CC :) Perhaps you should try making her eyes smaller, making her lower lip thinner and the upper one thicker. Change her nose to make it look longer, for example. This is another thing that's good for creating unique sims: Use different parts of different default faces, mix 'n' match them until you get something you like and then work from there.

Sims looking different in-game than in BS is always a problem. You can solve it by making her cheeks a bit fuller than you would actually want them to be.

I suggest

-thinning out the lips
-Make the eyes have more of a squint
-Change the shape of the lips, make them longer or smaller.
-Thin the cheeks but raise the cheekbones
-Make the jaw in more of a V shape
-Make the forehead a click or two longer
- Make the whole face a bit longer

play around with the nose wideness (check out the bridge and the slider that widens the bottom part of the nose)

Well i sculpted her face again!I changed ALL her characteristics not to be like maxis.I will not accept now that she's not unique cause i've never seen such sim and she is not easy to make!I know that her face has a maxis style but is is enough sculpted and that's the important i guess, to be a sim that is not easy to make.I will try to upload her cause i've seen today a sim that got accepted and has a maxis face for sure!

One of the things I have been doing with my Prue Halliwell is adjusting a little bit and, when I get her to spot that I really like, I save her as a new sim in BS. Then, when I need to work on her again, either to tweak her some or add some things (mole, hair, etc), I clone her, work on her, and save as a new sim again. Right now, in my BS I think I have 4 or 5 of her hanging out so I can go back to earlier versions or edit without ruining her face and having to start over.

Why are you rushing? If you rush, your work will get sloppy and you will regret it.

Looking at your sim, her lips are huge, it wouldn;t be a big deal if you were using a neutral lip color, but because you are using such a dark color, it makes them look even larger. If you do shrink them, they will pretty much look like the maxis lips. So, I would thin them out and make the lips themselves wider or smaller, just so they don't look so maxis-y. Also, I know you love her nose, but it is 100% Maxis. I'm not saying you need to make a huge nose, just tweak it a bit. Mess with the nostrils, make it longer or shorter. It is an improvement though! :)

Vampy is right, lips look way to big, maybe you could try to make her lower lip thinner? Nose is cute, but still maxis-y. IMO, nose is one of the parts that gives character to a sim's face (or real person's too ;)). It doesn't have to be huge or anything, just a bit more unique. I don't have any particular suggestion on what to change about the nose, just play with nose sliders a little, see where that gets you :)

Ok, i agree for the lips but i tried to change with a satisfiying way the nose and it got worse...Then, this is a TSR skin and i don't want to change it..I got permission from Fortune Cookie to edit it but i'm not sure if adding cut scratches and blood is making it a different skin..

Misty, youre right,nose gives character to a person.This nose gives the character i want for this sim too.I'll try editing but i'm not sure for anything..

You should know by now that it is not allowed to use TSR stuff. No using it in your pictures, no uploading it with a sim, with or without permission. Minor edits won't make it a different skin, it's still a creation from TSR.

Change her skin, she'll look different, I'm curious to see how :)
