So I've been creating some t-shirts for children with cartoon characters on them for my brother (eventually going to be available for download) I started with the male shirts, and I started trying to convert them so that they would work with female.

I looked at the tutorial available here, but I know that people have done this without having to make a new file for the other gender. I tried going into one of the files with SimPE, and instead of changing the number at the end of gender in the property set to 1, I changed it to 3 (I remember reading somewhere that adding the numbers together would work.) However, the shirt doesn't show up under the CF clothes in body shop. Is there another way to do it without having to make a new set of files for the female shirts?

If this is vague or difficult to understand, I'm sorry. I can provide screenshots if necessary.

Changing the gender to 3 is the right way to do it. Perhaps you didn't commit, didn't save, or didn't put your modified file in-game? If it's not working set to 3 but was working before just fine, then, well, ya did it wrong. :)

I forgot to save. x.x I even committed. xD.

Thanks so much!

EDIT -- It's still not working. I think it's the 'didn't put your modified file in-game' thing, because the male still works. How exactly do I do that? Do I just import it in bodyshop, and it will work? I modified the file in SavedSims, so I assumed it would work.

EDIT AGAIN -- Scratch that last part, I was just being stupid. xD. Thanks again for your help.

Yes - you can do so in CTU for sure, and probably TSRW too.
