Trading Shawarma

I couldn't get over the mission called "Trading Shawarma for Information" in Egypt, I didn't see it in the market or did it by myself !
Please help me : :cry:

If your Sim is a vegetarian, this is a gameplay issue: vegetarians can't purchase meat dishes at the market, but they can prepare them at home once they know the recipe.

If your Sim is not a vegetarian or knows the recipe for shwarma but can't prepare it, the inability to buy or prepare it is a game glitch and you need to post your question in game help after doing the basic troubleshooting steps of testing in a cc-free game.

I don't think you can buy the dish at the market when you're on the mission (that'd be too easy).

What I did was I made sure that I had the steak in my inventory (I think I had to go home first, buy it, and wait the 2 days to travel back) -- Once back in Egypt, and then I went to the house of one of my "friends" and I cooked the Shawarma there -- you have to have the "inappropriate, but in a good way" lifetime reward to be able to do this ....

Umm... Yes you can, so it is that easy! The hard bit is that it's part of a quest, so there's more difficult missions to come.

You can buy it (unless you are a vegetarian), but as far as I can tell, they only sell it during lunch and dinner.

Ahhh ... it must have been the vegetarian thing then, 'cuz my Sim who did that was one ...
