Hi everyone!

I'm trying to clone a radio for the first time. I made my mesh and texture, no problem with that. I choose to clone the Compact Stereo by Lo-Fi Audio as said in the Clonable object list by IgnorantBliss. But the thing as 5 texture files (+1 for shadow). I've try all sorts of combinations for applying the texture but it never shows in the object preview in the GMDC. How should I prosess? The difficulty in the list is "easy" so it should be, but I really don't know why it doesn't work.
Thank in advance for your help!

A pic, in case it could help (after assigning the new textures, any combination looks like that):

Are you sure you've linked everything correctly? It looks like you've added a fair few subsets to the mesh (antenne, boite, bouton etc). They all need their own entries in the Shape file and possibly TXMT's too. Look at IgnorantBliss' tutorial 'Adding a subset (and making it recolorable)'.

http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=103379

Remember also that only two of the subsets in the GMDC can be recolorable. The alternative would be to regroup you mesh into fewer groups - for instance just one or two.

You think that's the reason? I'm familiar with groups and subsets but I just got Milkshape and if I regroup everything the UVMap is gonna be awful (I'm using UVMapper). Before I used Blender, I could regroup everything and still easily create the UVMap as I wanted...
Thanks a lot for your answer Moune.

You can map everything in MilkShape and then regroup. The map won't change. I take it you already have a texture ready for this? Select a group (or groups) then assign your texture to them. Open the Texture Coordinate Editor- if you selected more than one group, you can select the part you want from the drop-down box. Then you can scale, move, rotate..and get your group exactly where you want it on your texture. After you've done all the parts, you can regroup them. Looking at your screenshot above, it looks like you can regroup all the little parts into one subset if you want.

You're welcome. :)

I did forget to mention one thing. You might find it easier to save your texture as a .jpeg (along with the .png you save) and assign it to the group/groups. You don't HAVE to do that if you're not going to rely on the 3D view to help you move things around. I do it because I DO use the 3D view as a guide at times and .png's tend to be transparent in the 3D view in MilkShape.

Ok, thanks for the tip!
And I made it work, problem sloved.
Thanks a lot Moune and Mustluvcatz!
