I Understad the trees up front are a bit... OTT, but as for why else it got rejected i am a little confused so would like some hints :)

What did the rejection/changes required message say? Is the house furnished? If not I think that would be a significant factor as to why it got rejected.

1. A totally glass house is frankly unrealistic (not to mention unsafe and the lack of any privacy even in the bathroom)
2. not furnishing would be a big reason of why it got rejected

You're wrong on both of these reasons for rejection. This is the sims... not real life. I've seen far more unrealistic things be accepted here. The reality of actualy building and living in a glass home has nothing to do with the reason for rejection.

As far as furnishing it goes, that isnt "a big reason" it go rejected. You'll notice that a lot of amazing homes available for download here are not furnished.

I would say the reason you where rejected was because without the clear floor and walls, you're house is just a boxy blah house. I think the best thing to do would be to start over, and build an amazing and unique house, and then make it clear, and then add landscaping. If you where to furnish it, that would be fine... but the fact is that even in you furnish the house the way it is now, it still wouldent be aproved. If you put the effort into building a unique home with character, then people will want to download it, furnished or not.

Hey guys thanks for the quick replies...
,
i didn't furnish it to minimize on CC, but the lack of furnishing would make sense... maybe if i furnished it minimally (bathroom/s, kitchen, lights?)... that would help? And now that i think of it, it is kind of boxy. i was trying for a Ultra Modern/ Sci - Fiey house, but i think i failed there.

The Admins said it had to do with the trees out front blocking the view, I guess that made sense, but also lack of terrain paint. I didn't use terrain paint specifically so that it would blend in to the Neighborhood well, so any tips there?

I would recommend furnishing still though because I don't think most people would have any idea how to decorate a glass house...

Im gonna do that with the new house im doing... it's still kind of boxy, but in a better way... mor hexagonal than boxy lol... also yeah im furnishing fully. Using MAxis only stuff to minimize CC... hope it turns out well... will post pics when it is up and hope people tell me what they think lol :anime:

Wicked_poppies - I can't speak for Robodl95, obviously, but if you have a house such as this one which is obviously supposed to be quite 'back to basics' and natural there isn't a lot that can be done with the interior apart from furnish it, so without that it comes across as being more plain than it actually is. In a basic house I think it's different but, like Robodl95 said, people might not know how is best to furnish a glass house. So in this case I think furnishing would really help.

ladydeath1138 - I really like the idea of a glass house, it would suit plantsims really well! With terrain paint I don't think the mods mean to just place it all over the place, but to use it in certain areas. For example, you have a pond: use a muddy/earthy terrain around the pond as you would see in real life. Again, put a bit of dirt terrain underneath trees or plants because in RL you don't have grass grow right up to the base of them. I'd also put a rocky paint inside the house on the ground floors. Paint some areas of the garden with different grass coverings to add a bit of texture. I would also mix up the plants a bit. Try using the snapobjectstogrid false and moveobjects on cheat to put them at different angles.

Ive added that to the new one im building and it is starting to look REALLY good. :) I was thinking of adding a small garden under the house as well, with steps leading down to it... kinda like an open basement... what do people think?

One people - haha - thinks that it's an awesome idea! Can't wait to see some pics. I'm imaging a wonderful garden, many plants surrounded by glasswalls, much space, everything well lighted by the sun through the glass...
Hmm... how would it look as a basement? Can't imagine that yet. Wouldn't it be dark and maybe would it be better to place it on the ground and building the house over it? Just some ideas, I think we need pictures and then we can tell you more :P

I also think that sounds like a good idea! Anything which will make it more unique and interesting, without being ridiculous, is a good thing :) Can't wait to see what you come up with.
