My sim won't age

Another day, another problem.
I made a family with 2 teen twin brothers and their mother. I put them in a house, and then I used c+shift+ctrl then testingcheatsenabled true, and I clicked on both boys, because I wanted them to grow up to Young Adults.
They kept celebrating and one of them changed into an young adult, but the menu told me he was still teen.
I bought 2 cakes, one for each of the boys, and the one who changed into young adult clothes aged at youg adult when he blew the candles.
The problem is that the other one doesn't age. He changed his clothes into young adult ones, and when he blew the candles, he was just celebrating, and I couldn't cancel his action.
I have to mention that I have CC but I don't have mods or hacks.

I've had the same problem and posted several threads about the issue. I even reinstalled the sims and tried growing up a test family teenager with only the base game and no cc; he didn't grow up. I think it's a patch issue, but I'm not really sure. I don't know how to fix it.

On another note, if your want to cancel a Sims action, press ctrl c and then type resetSim <firstName> <lastName> (with the first/last names being your Sim's name)

I reseted my sim.
But same problem.
Anyways. I was going to so a Sims 3 series and if I wait for another patch it would be end of the world for me, because I'd be making problems to all of my friends who are working with me.
Hope they release a new patch and fix this problem soon. :-<

I get the same problem, nothing can be done other then turn the age thing really low then when they age turn it back up.

That happens to my sims too, and after I get them to blow out the candles and they still haven't aged up, I save my game and then restart the game. After I restart the game my sim has aged up!
