For this challenge, you must have two Sims meet, build a relationship and get married. The details are still being worked out (I'm thinking for a bigger challenge to give the bride and groom a Family and Romance aspiration) but this is the basic layout so far. I'd love to hear suggestions as to how I can build on this since this is my first challenge! Score sheets are in the works.
.Create two families: the bride's and the groom's. For this challenge, both the bride and the groom must have two parents. Additional family members are optional.
.Move your families into the neighborhood. Now that your bride and groom have family connections, you may have them get their own place...or live in the parents' basement, your choice. (If you allow them to move out, be sure to have phones in their parents' homes.)
.Get your bride and groom a job. Owning their own business or working from home, is acceptable.
.Both the bride and the groom must form at least 2 friendships before they are allowed to build their own relationship. (They are allowed to greet one another if they are to cross paths though so that they become known Sims.) If you want a bigger wedding party, more friendships are suggested but 2 is the minimum.
.Once they have their required friends, work on their friendship. They may not have any romantic interactions until they have reached a Lifetime Score of 50. If at any point during the challenge, their relationships with their required friends should fail, you must build those relationships back up before continuing their friendship/romance.
.The bride and groom must have 3 dates before they become a committed relationship.
.After the bride and groom have a committed relationship, they must have a dream date before they are allowed to move in together.
.After the bride and groom have moved in together, they must achieve a Lifetime Score of 100 (if they have not done so already) and they must form relationships with each other's families. They may not become engaged until the groom "asks for permission from the father-of-the-bride" by achieving a Lifetime Score of 50.
.When the engagement is official, they must have an engagement party to introduce their families and friends. The party may be held at the home or a community lot. (Don't forget to take engagement pictures for their wedding album!)
.The maid of honor and best man will be the friends with the highest relationship scores. The remaining friends and family will be bridesmaids, groomsmen or guests at the wedding. After you have determined your wedding party, have your brid, maid of honor, bridesmaids and female family members (don't forget the soon to be mother-in-law!) go shopping for the tux, wedding dress and lingerie. (If you want your guests dressed in matching formals, you will have to play their homes to purchase the clothing and then have them select it as their formal wear. Otherwise they will show up in their Maxis formals.) 10,000 must be earned before formals can be purchased.
.Hold bachelor and bachelorette parties for your bride and groom. 15,000 must be earned before the parties may be held. (Don't forget to take pictures for their wedding album!)
.If you have Bon Voyage installed, your bride and groom must earn 20,000 before they can book a honeymoon.
.Hold a rehearsal dinner for the wedding party. The bride and groom need to purchase one gift for each member of their party and should dispense these gifts at the rehearsal dinner. (Don't forget to take pictures for their wedding album!)
.Have the wedding! The choice of venue (whether home or community lot) is up to you. If you choose to hold the wedding at a community lot, be sure to go into the lot to prepare it for your wedding.
