Just bought this expansion last night ^__^

I was just curious as to which awesome part I should check out first? I'm mostly excited for the vampire side! I never got to experience vampires in the Sims at all. I kind of came in late on the Sims 2 and never got many expansions so I'm curious for it as I'm an avid vampire lover. I'm just curious as to what all the good perks are as I won't have much time to play tonight/this morning as it's already 3am.

Any good tips on vampire stuff or things for this expansion in general are much appreciated. ^__^

Pros:
-Mind reading and controlling powers
-Awsome skin, eyes, and teeth
-Can drink blood ("plasma") from other Sims
-Can rob various rabbitholes for "plasma"
-Sleep on a coffin
Cons:
-Can lose powers if in sunlight

Oh wow! I'm so excited to play it now! So by drink blood from other Sims are you meaning they can actually feed on other sims? If so - that's amazing! Thanks for giving me a heads up! ^__^ It's greatly appreciated!

Hey guys!! please HELP me.. i dont know where to post my question so i'l just post it here.. hehe!!

ok, so i have sims 3 patch 1.18.9, ambitions, & latenight installed..
i downloaded the twallan's story progression, indiestone mod, and awesome mod..

-first, i installed NRaas only.. but according to the mod, there will be a new menu when u click a computer in town "story progression"..
i clicked on one of the computers but there was no such menu.. so, i think twallan's mod wont work for me..

-second, i installed indiestone mod.. it says "for patch 1.2.7 only".. so, again, it wont work for me..

-third, the awesome mod.. it worked! but my sims wont move.. they just stand still.. is there something wrong??

i put ALL of the mods in this directory: C:/program files/Electronic Arts/Sims 3/Mods/packages.
-i have resource.cgf in C:/program files/Electronic Arts/Sims 3
-have the d3dx9_31.dll in C:/program files/Electronic Arts/Sims 3/Game/Bin, Ambitions directory, and LateNight directory..

i followed all instructions and still cant make these story progression mods work!!
some say the mods should match with the base game's patch..
ive searched for the mods' updates but cant find a version applicable for my sims 3 patch..

PLEASE people!! HELP me..
