Most of my sims are always "mean", or even worse, "sad" drunks, which really sucks. But I swear my male bard was always a "happy" drunk, which was VERY good because the mood buff is excellent.

But now I'm trying to make a female bard for the first time and for some reason I just can't get her to be a happy drunk no matter what traits I try to pick, even if I pick the exact same ones as my male bard. I've tried a ton of times already, but no, the stupid !@#$% is always a "mean", or even worse a "sad" drunk. Ugh. This is frustrating, why can't I get me a happy drunk?

The fatal flaws I use most or "Drunkard" (Bard, Knight, Blacksmith, one of my Priests), but they're all male, so that's strange. I would have said it depended on how negative or positive the other traits are. You know, sometimes do feel there is a ever so slight sexist bias in TSM, but then again it makes it more realistic maybe, in a medieval way?

But why can't I have a happy girl-drunk? :(

She is drunkard, but her positive traits are fun loving and eloquent

Mt female bard who was a drunkard used to get happy drunk all the time. I didn't see sad drunk until a later kingdom with a male bard.

It depends on your mood when drinking. If the sim has low focus and not done anything fun in a while it will have a bad mood, then add drink to that and you have an angry/sad drunk.

So just do something fun like listening to music before drinking. Or if you are a min-maxer like me, put a musicbox next to the casket.
