Entire Bachelor family vanished!

No matter how hard I look, there seem to be no evidence of their existence in all of Sunset Valley. Even using NRaas is no help; none of them exist. They are not dead, either, because I cannot find their remains.

I have to stress that I have no idea when this happened. I probably didn't even notice it when it did. But now, they're simply gone.

Can anyone offer any help? Perhaps to either load them back into the game, or somehow coax them out of hiding?

Did EA Story Progression perhaps move them out of town ?

I didn't know that was possible. So, I just check all my other neighborhoods?

No - if story progression moved them out, they're gone.

Argh, that sucks. I'm thinking that's what happened. Any way to get them back?

There might be. Try this: first, back up your save! I have no idea if this is safe or not - it isn't in Sims 2, but Sims 3 doesn't necessarily have the same flaws. Make a new Sunset Valley, find the family, and save them to the family bin - or you might have to save them to the lot bin, I don't remember. Then try placing them back in your normal town.
You'll lose any progress you made playing them, but you will at least have the sims themselves.
