I need help with my CC not showing up all of a sudden. I downloaded the scribble pad, and decor items and the princess hair from here. They are not showing up. I spoke with the creator for the scribble pad and it has come to the understanding that I have to up date the Custom Launcher that I use. Well I did that and it did not work. I took out the pad and put it back in and it worked for a while. I then put in the princess hair and started up my game and went to the house hold with the scrbble pad and the sims are all missing and the game tells me that I am missing some objects. I delete the town and start over. The princess hair and the scribble pad are no longer able to seen in my buy list. My other sim in an other town had default hair and was missing the princess hair. I need help with this issue and I don't know where to go or do. Thanks.

I have all the Sim 3 games.

Sims 3 - Verify Package Installation
To help you further, please carefully read and follow the following:

First, double-check your setup: These instructions will take you through the things you should check yourself: Package Files Not Working (http://www.simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Installing_Sims_3_Package_Files/Not_Working). You may be able to fix the problem yourself using those instructions.

Still not working? Then we will need ALL of the following information.

What is the version of your base game and any/all expansions?
Windows OS: Game_Help:TS3_Patching_Find_Gameversion
Mac OSX: Game_Help:TS3_Patching_Find_Gameversion#info.plist

Copy and paste the indicated line from the skuversion.txt or info.plist from the following locations, for ALL games you have (adapt as appropriate for OSX):
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 <EP or SP name>\Game\Bin
BG: GameVersion =
WA: GameVersion =
HEL: GameVersion =
AMB: GameVersion =
FL: GameVersion =
LN: GameVersion =
OL: GameVersion =
Take THREE screenshots... one each of the following locations:

Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\
Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\
Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages

... and attach them to a post on this thread. Click Go Advanced and then Manage Attachments. Or if it says the pictures are too big, you can upload them to modyourpanties.com and copy and paste the links.
We have a guide on how to take screenshots if you need assistance: Game_Help:Screenshots.

Make sure you set your folder view to Details mode, that you have file types showing (.package, .cfg, etc. on the ends of the filenames) and expand out the Name and Type columns so they're fully readable!

Open your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\resource.cfg file in Notepad and copy-paste its contents here.

Right-click on Resource.cfg and check Properties. Is the file name Resource.cfg or Resource.cfg.txt or something else?

For now, don't bother using a custom launcher - it'll just complicate matters. Once we know your CC is working through normal installation, then we can think about launchers. :)

Thanks for responding so quickly. I don't understand half the things that are listed. I will have to call somebody and have them come over to help me understand. It may be a while before I can get someone, I just wanted you to know that so that you are aware that I read this and appreciate your help. I have a learning disability called visual memory, that makes it hard for me to read things that are long, because I forget what I read. :bunny:

You don't need to read the whole thing at once. :) I suggest going through it step by step. The first step in checking your framework links to here: Game Help:Installing Sims 3 Package Files/Setup and Files.

So, first go to Go to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\.
Second, check that there is a folder called Mods there.
Third, download the Resource.cfg from the link - and so on. You can stop and come back to it later if it gets overwhelming, as long as you note down how far you got.

Also, if you struggle with reading long texts, I'll assume you didn't read the last thing I said, so I'll say it again since it's important:
